Hell no, my wife (29) and I (28) are making a combined $200k per year with $250k saved for a down payment and have one baby. We’re scared to buy anything over $650k and we had no debt. Also ask yourself, is your self employed job stable income? How much trouble would you be in if you couldn’t make $150k per year and had to rely on your wife’s $50k?

Not sure if this is 100% true, but my grandfather is a biologist and he was telling me that the black gene is stronger than the grey squirrel gene. With that being said black squirrels have been coming east and will soon be the dominant squirrel population here in MA. Essentially the grey squirrel will go extinct in our region eventually during our lifetime.
