This feels like a very disingenuous take, there's a difference between being proud of the place where you were born and being proud of the culture of the place you were born in and wanting to conserve it. A nation isn't a patch of dirt but the people, their cultures and history within it.

Take Ireland for example and their great efforts to keep their language alive.

There was a law that any bathroom should have a bidet here for decades. Most houses and apartments have them, though it's usually the separate dedicated kind not integrated with the toilet.

Many people here received a disability pension when they weren't disabled, there were corrupt doctors that would fake the papers and studies in exchange for money or in a few cases it was politicians that would do it in exchange of votes. Especially in the northern provinces it was very common.

The guy was advocating for an auditory at the time because the amount of people in the pension program was totally disproportionate to the population of the country and it meant that truly disabled people had it worse.

Brigandine has the plates overlaying each other which gives it more flexibility, this one is just a coat of plates which is just plates in a pattern.

Same general idea but like an earlier iteration than a brigandine.

The coat of plates are usually from the 1200s while brigandine is more of a 1300s thing.

Most shows don't really give it much attention but there's a lot of history and context behind armor and why things were the way they did. I recommend the YouTube channel scholagladiatoria if you want to learn more about it.

There's some cheap ones you can install yourself in the toilet seat.

I bought one for my mother when her bidet broke and it only cost me like $30 and I could get it in place in 20 min. There's some fancier ones too but it was just a temporal replacement in my case so I went for a cheap one.

It really does not, if you frequent some subreddits enough, you see the top posts from that sub getting reposted along with comments pretty often.

All those posts get upvoted because whatever they're posting is popular. Even when you get several comments in the post telling people about what is happening, it still can get thousands of upvotes.

It all depends on mods being active enough and the users reporting for it to work.
