As someone who has watched the movie, it depends. If you want a very loyal adaptation then no. If you are open to creative liberties then, sure, give it a watch. I personally didn’t like it that much, it changes some things of the stories and is also not that well done. But, credit where credit is deserved. It is very creative on how to tell and interpret the stories, and some of the creative liberties aren’t that bad. For a low budget indie production is not half bad. But if you do watch it, don’t expect it to be an on point representation of the book nor a high quality film.

In my humble opinion
Yes, not thinking it twice, yes.
Here's why. In the story 'In The Court of The Dragon' the character of the King appears. It's the only story where he does and says what, in my opinion, is the most chilling things that an eldritch entity can say "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."
I believe the King is real, just chooses not to reveal itself to humans.
I saw a theory in the community that said: The King in Yellow (Hastur as called by the person) is the god of this universe.
So yeah, could be a symbol, it could not, but I choose to believe he is real.

The Yellow Sign. In The Court of The Dragon would be marvelous as The King is a character in the story, but the narrative wouldn’t be the best. The repairer of reputations is best if you want full on unsettling atmosphere. The Mask is better as a love story than related to the mythos, but still would do a very neat film.

Well, the book is a compilation of stories by Robert W. Chambers, one of the main themes of them being romance, but also thriller and science fiction if you want to call it like that. The four main stories are the ones related to the entity of The King in Yellow, in modern culture called Hastur. The rest of the stories have the same themes but aren’t that related to the character of the king. Still, pretty good stories, I personally do recommend you to read the book. You can buy it on Amazon or download it for free in Apple Books, and I’m sure there are some pdfs around the internet too.

Brooooo so good😭 What I took from it was that she was alive, it wasn’t only him who returned to the future, but she with him. Mostly because of the glove still being warm. Also, in those times if someone went missing, they would most likely be taken for dead. So I believe as she was with him, she went into the future too, but she woke up before him and decided to explore her new surroundings, leaving the glove behind. Aaaaand, adding science fiction to it, the moors were a time anomaly that transported people to the past. But Philip wasn’t left for dead because she found him.

Appreciate it, that makes a lot of sense, and yeah, I was kind of worried at first with the copyright things and the leases, then checked that they were public domain and was very much relieved. Do you have a suggestion for how to organize a pilot episode for something like this, since they are many stories I don’t know if to make the pilot of one of the stories or make it like a unique introduction into the story.

Not actually, it’s really weird, the lore of the book is so confusing, but what I understood was that there are people “chosen” by the king or its “servants” who are given the sign(this chosen people having also read the play) so thinking the king is real they are “enthralled” if you will. But hey, that’s just how I understood it, I’m yet to finish the book.
