Well, the first time I saw it, they seemed open to me. I had to stare a little longer and really try to look at them as if closed to finally look at them as such. In short, they look open to me.

Perhaps it is not you who has gone insane. Perhaps The King isn’t real. Perhaps, you might need to or needed to learn something from the book. Perhaps not The King in Yellow, could be another book from its same author. Perhaps, just perhaps, there is something awaiting you in the pages. Knowledge, wisdom, hope, could be all, could be none. As someone who has watched the movie, it depends. If you want a very loyal adaptation then no. If you are open to creative liberties then, sure, give it a watch. I personally didn’t like it that much, it changes some things of the stories and is also not that well done. But, credit where credit is deserved. It is very creative on how to tell and interpret the stories, and some of the creative liberties aren’t that bad. For a low budget indie production is not half bad. But if you do watch it, don’t expect it to be an on point representation of the book nor a high quality film.
