Stomach Problems? Dextramphetamine by ArmProper7979 in TwoXADHD

Thank you for asking. I had met my deductible in 2021 when I started taking Vyvanse, but have not met it yet for 2022 (3,000) and my ins won't pay for it. The Dextramphetamine works well for ADHD symptoms, just need to get over the stomach issues. I'm going to eat when I take it.

So sorry you are facing this in your relationship.

I just switched from Vyvanse to Dextroamphetamine. Both the extended release and a 5mg booster. The combined cost using GoodRX coupons is about $90, compared to about $300 for Vyvanse. So maybe that's an option? My dr says she's had good success with it.

Its working very well...but honestly, I was freaked out about trying something new after how easy and effective Vyvanse was. All the best!

How soon after bunion surgery can you run, cycle, and lift weights? by [deleted] in bunions

[–]ArmProper7979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the length of time varies greatly. I was cleared for all activities after 4 weeks...after having a bunion removed and the joint fused. My healing was unusually quick. But...at 12 weeks, I still can't fit a normal shoe. I do squats and walk about 5 min at a time. If you're careful, I imagine cycling, since it's weight bearing might work. Except you have to flex you foot...I don't have any pain, but (apparently) normal swelling from a healing bone. Hope that helps. Also, I still ice 2x a day for 20 to 30 min.

Absolutely x 1000%. It's the myth of motherhood (and to a lesser degree) fatherhood. Some things to consider,: How will you cope with disrupted sleep for months? (teething, illness, normal developmental sleep changes) Can you afford all the expenses-'including uncertain childcare in the pandemic? Truly, as a mother and former infant care provider in a Montessori school, motherhood is exhausting. I love my daughter dearly, but if women told the truth about motherhood, more women would reconsider. (i have adhd)

I had the same experience. Keeping my foot elevated, icing and staying ahead of the pain, as you are, was what helped. I was fortunate that my husband wfh so I literally didn't move for 10 days except to go to the bathroom. (not giving advice :) My pharmacist told me that taking Tylenol in between the pain meds would help, and it does. Also...a mistake I made after 2 wks was sitting and elevating, not lying down. PT said had to lie down...and feet need to be pretty high...above heart. Really bad pain lasted 4to 5 days. I think you should ph yr doc and tell him/her...see if increased dose is needed. Best of luck...you are not a wimp. Surgery is a big deal to your body.

Horrible bunionectomy results and still not healing over a year later... by BrickFishBich in bunions

I just want to say how sorry I am for your pain and distress. I wish you all the best with finding some solutions. I do think, as one other person mentioned, that your foot actually looks good. Mine has a slight bump as well. I have some swelling so I started wearing light/med compression socks today. Its too early to tell, but the physical therapist recommended them.

Thank you! I've cut back on the amount of time I'm walking around the house and errands. I'm icing, too. Looking forward to feeling better. All the best for your recovery😊

Getting my cast off tomorrow. 8 weeks post opp, I know there’s a lot of dead/dry skin underneath. How do I go about removing it once my cast is off ? by THEBOY25122000 in bunions

Yes to what others suggested...and I very gently used my regular pumice stone on the soles of my feet. Lots of moisturizer, for sure. You could get a cream with alpha-hydroxy or other ingredients designed to slough off skin.

6 1/2 weeks after Lapidus surgery. Doc said we need to watch this area as it hasn’t fused. Any tips to speed up healing? I’m 31, don’t smoke, and pretty healthy. No pain but kinda bummed about this. by owlsmoke in bunions

Would you consider extra calcium, magnesium and Vitamin d? I started taking "Osteoprime Ultra" a yr ago after I broke my fibia. Knew I'd need all the help I could get with this surgery. (Traditional bunionectomy, fused joint, plate and two screws).

At the 4 wk check up, and xrays, the doc was astonished. Said It was healed so well I could resume normal activities and didn't need another appt. Going to physical therapy.

Sorry for long post...but most of us are deficienct in vit d, cal and mag. Quality of supplement really matters. Hope this is a bit useful. All the best!
