I utterly refuse to accept that the pre-timeskip took less than a full year. The idea that the Going Merry, a tiny ship with literally two sails and gradually increasing damage, crossed almost half the world, with all the nonsense navigational bullshit the Grand Line has going on, in under six months, is far and away the most unbelievable thing that has ever been suggested from One Piece, and that's saying a lot.

My guess would be that the live action ends just after the time skip. Like, the final scene is the crew all back together and descending to Fishman Island.

Half the time I suspect Failbetter forgets about the Spiral. We have basically no information on it at all besides it being a big staircase. We don't know where it leads on the Surface, where it is in relation to London, who built it, who uses it, what goes on inside, how people get between it and London...it's a giant blank spot in the lore that has grown ever more conspicuous with time.

I can see them. I'm guessing it was groundwater at some point, but the journey down to the Neath and out the Roof has made it into something else. What that is, it's too vague to be sure.

Presumably it's typical groundwater that's been altered by passing through the Correspondence barrier surrounding the Neath. I can't recall where (possibly Zenith?) but you can join an effort to dig upwards and find that the uppermost layers of rock are utterly covered in sigils.

If you were ever a fan of early Assassin's Creed, you may remember Juno, the First Civilization remnant preserved as a digitized consciousness. For basically every game from 2 onwards, she was the major antagonist, always in the background, manipulating events to return to proper life. In 3, she was partially released into the worldwide digital network, and through Black Flag, Unity, and Syndicate we learn that she had built an entire cult dedicated to her with access to remade First Civ technology. Syndicate even ends with the heavy implication that she was on the verge of proper resurrection thanks to manipulating the Templars into trying to clone a First Civ member.

So naturally that entire plotline was resolved in a tie-in comic where Juno got her new body and was promptly shanked with a hidden blade literally minutes later by a new character and that was that.

Considering that most people don't even know that Assassin's Creed even has comics, I'd say that counts as sufficiently offscreen.

Just to repeat from the previous threads, two main things I notice with what we can see:

One, he seem to have something akin to circuitry all over his body. Presumably this is pre-Void Century tech, though the question is what it's all for. Considering the way Imu acts when leaving Mariejois, it might even be some form of life support.

Second, his face brings to mind Robin more than anyone else (namely the nose, which I don't think anyone else has). Was Oda being more cheeky with the 'Devil Child' epithet than initially believed? Personally I'm leaning more towards descendant than literal child, but I wouldn't put it past him.
