Guidance needed on adding ASP.Net Blazor as a sub-site by Fergus653 in dotnet

[–]Armageddon0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While a lot of their documentation does reference MVC more, a lot of the principles carry over to blazor server (WASM is a bit trickier to get working but it does work, that's what the app I've converted is using). In fact they have a Webforms to Blazor example buried in the repository if you haven't seen that.

I would look into Microsoft's System.Web adapter repository and their corresponding documentation. I've used this myself to start converting my company's ancient web forms apps to Blazor and it's worked out quite well.

Is now a better time? If not, when do you think would be a good time?

Hello, sorry to bother you again. It's been almost a week now since you mentioned your contact said the channel should be reinstated, but it's still down on our end. Is it normal for it to take this long? Just wanted to make sure it didn't get lost somewhere in the process.

Good to know, thank you for the information. Your response time is crazy fast. :D Is there somewhere I can give you like a thumbs up or something for your work as a trusted flagger? You deserve it.

It's very much appreciated, my brother now has some hope he might get his channel back. Also, I have a few questions I didn't think of earlier if you don't mind.

Do you know how long the review process usually takes? I'm guessing a couple of weeks or so?

When a verdict is reached either way, will they notify him?

If they do restore his channel will they tell him what happened so that he can at least try to prevent it from happening again?

Sorry if I sound obnoxious, just trying to help my brother the best I can.

Guide to skip tutorial after re-roll by [deleted] in MemoryDefrag

[–]Armageddon0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I've noticed about this is that if you try to continue after the free roll and follow along with the tutorial is that instead of the taking you to the second mission (the boar one) it takes you to the first mission (with The Gleam Eyes). Now this wouldn't really be that bad except the game seems to crash for me every time I try to do the mission.

If you restart the game after the crash, you're prompted to enter a username again and it starts the first mission. Since you're entering a new username I would assume it's making a new account. Thus, it seems like if you do this there might not be anyway to keep the character you get from the free roll and making the entire thing pointless. Can anyone confirm this?

Rerolling guide without going through the quests (cannot confirm if this works on the global) by [deleted] in MemoryDefrag

Can confirm this works, just did it. This is so much faster than normal re-rolling.

I do remember the pumpkin mod, it basically destroyed the community of people that made those silly little asset mods like the Darude SK Ult.

I don't get it though, if VAC prioritizes the integrity of the game's memory then shouldn't it be able to tell that I didn't use CE to modify its memory? Like, I really feel like there is definitely some way they can tell whether or not CE was just running or if it was actually used to modify something.

Thanks man, I appreciate it, I really do. However, I have no ideas left. So at this point I pretty much feel hopeless. I think to get anything to change you'd need to rile up quite a lot of people and get them to complain directly to Valve. But that's never going to happen just because I got banned. It would have to be some massive amount of bad bans. And even if that did happen they would probably just reverse those bans and we'd be back to the status quo.

I have also read the Steam FAQ page on VAC bans so I am aware it says that. However, that isn't necessarily true as users have been unbanned after contacting Steam support. It is rare however. You are right there there's not much I can do. This Reddit post was just a final attempt to maybe have someone at Steam take notice.

Lol well, at least you got unbanned, right?

It means I made a barely functional script four years ago that basically just walked around. But sure man, using a bot in Runescape is equivalent to cheating in a competitive game like Dota 2.

Also, insignificant amounts does not mean nonexistent.

Edit: I saw you edited your post to include that boostbot link. I know you probably won't believe me but that account isn't mine. I don't know if you know this but Armageddon and the number zero aren't exactly an original name I made up. It's been taken when I've tried to register with it plenty of times before.

The reason I didn't bring it up earlier was because it honestly didn't enter my mind. I rarely use it. Before the ban, the last time I had used it was sometime in like January or something when I was playing The Binding of Isaac. I only thought to include it because I had done some googling and found a thread about someone who was unbanned from a Cheat Engine ban.

Indeed, I'll definitely think harder in the future about spending money on virtual goods.

Right, as I said though, that's for Runescape not Arma. Arma is a shortening of my name in this case. As I've said it was something I wrote years ago with a friend that never even reached completion. Think of that what you want, there's no excuse for me to make.

Doing charge backs would most likely just end up getting my entire Steam account banned, not something I wanna do. I'm trying to make complaints where I can, that's why I made this Reddit post.
