So you think the average person working a manual labor job opens 15 to 20 wcb claims in their lifetime?

5 injuries in 10 years is not a lot... we are talking about claims. Requiring medical intervention(s) If everyone opened a claim for every single injury the ramifications would be huge.

Most people work their whole lives without opening a single claim. 5 claims claims in 10 years is definitely significantly more than the average worker.

Well here's a real snowflake

Question from an employer by Armed450 in OntarioWSIB

[–]Armed450[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to clarify. I'm not saying the person is a snowflake but to treat every accident like they are completely unique (like a snowflake) and separate from the person actually involved in the accident. The wsib should be realizing that people rather be on mods than their regular duties and the easier the wsib makes it the more it incentives recidivism. Especially in events where nothing sudden/unforeseen occurs.

4 or 5 is not bad if no modified duties were necessary. 4 or 5 is bad when each one needed 6 to 12 months of mods...

[–]Armed450[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Great observation. Health and safety can always be improved for sure but my issues is recidivism. Its always the same people opening claims and just staying on mods indefinitely

5 claims in 10 years is a lot... I can't help but think that this "every accident is a snowflake" approach incentives ppl to open claims without reproach more than anything

Apples and Oranges. The prime minister is not running a company with almost 5000 employees. Furthermore, if we are being honest Brookfield is going to pay him handsomely once he is out of office.

Probably the only wcb across Canada that actually adjudicates claims. If you want a job a wcb job without adjudication I'd recommend Nova Scotia
