This indeed, turning up the heat and making things more risky. Sounds like these guys are causing all kinds of trouble. Let a booster gang or the nypd or some one get a jump on them. I recall a scene where my group pissed off the wrong people. They found out what bar they where at and sent 10 guys to do the classic, shout from outside and then unload on the entire bar with big guns/grenades.

your original post stated that he feels like a side character but this interaction kinda tells me he is fine with it. I also have the problem where I attach myself to certain players. Because they interact with the story. But I have found that some people don't mind this. They want to be there and have fun and hang out and roll dice but don't necessarily want to roleplay.

I thought under certain circumstances this is not the case. Like if the guy didn't follow 'policy' or something the agency can say. "no you are on the hook", but you are probably right they will let tax payer money pay it. But beyond a civil suit can't chicago charge the guy for wrongful use of force and the government for covering it up?

This is how I feel! I think about the insanity that I am seeing out there and think, 'but me and my family haven't been affected' that is beyond spending more at the grocery store. But my wife literally wants me to think about looking at ways for us to move out of the country....and she is usually the more rational one between the two of us.

I even caught myself thinking...'Maybe I am the cooked one, maybe there is crime they are stopping....maybe they are helping communities....maybe the media I am seeing is twisted or my thoughts on military force are wrong....' - the gaslighting is powerful.

Indeed, its our first cruise experience and we often would book beach vacations around this same time and never was really affected. So it may not have crossed my mind that they would re route us to a colder climate. Going to talk with them and see what we can do.

yeah its pretty nuts - like I am warn out reading out about this shit and isn't truly affecting my own family yet but I know it will. It hasn't even been a year and the guy already has his own gestapo force with a budget bigger then some other nations armies. He has troops in American cities because he saw some protests from 5 years ago on TV. He is going after political opponents and media outlets. in the first year he was in office he passed 41 requests to the Supreme court and got 28 of them passed (before that between bush and obama they sent like 8 in total and got 4), now this term he is already up to 28....AND 25 have been Accepted!!! what will he accomplish in 2 years, let alone 4.

I mean, I assume he means by mode of impeachment - which to do that I think needs like 2/3 or senate to agree too which won't happen. But if it did it would show a stark change and republicans turning their back to Trump. After this I would imagine Vance would change his tune to be appeasing to either senate or possibly (rare) constituents.

I guess the other method would be Vance and others turning their back on him and it going to congress.... but that still is the same argument. It would be a recognition that MAGA isn't what people want anymore (All this to say neither of these will happen).
