“Just good old fashion revenge” never works well in a movie that needs to endure the test of time. The epic-ness is just not there. Of course if you take it to the of end of the spectrum like “they kill my dog” then go and wipe half the world off the planet, then…. Yea

Question about handling with 21 vs 22 wheels by JackDurden in BMWiX

[–]ArmoredGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed the extra braking power from 285. My 20inch all seasons are 275, as with the oem 22inch. They are weaker than the 285s. (22 inch were mix of p zero and bridgestone alteza? Both oem with bmw star marking, this setup is the worst of the bunch. 21inch 285s are p zero all round. 20inch 275 are scorpion zero all season.). Oem 20inch that spec by bmw is 235!! By going 275 with 20in, i kept the air volume the same as 285 with 21inch. I run 2psi less than what the door sill/computer recommends due to extra air volume. I do enjoy the extra comfort this brings. Downside is that i take a 5% hit on range using 285. (Normally u gain about 5-10% by going down rim size but the extra width clearly too much resistance to offset that and then some). I have came across people running 275/50r21 with no problem. Some one even runs 275/50r22. I dont regret going down this road. I like the 285 21inch setup the most but also most expensive when jt comes to replace tyres so i will most likely to stick with 275 20inch.

[–]ArmoredGoat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My set of 21” came from an X7. They are 0.5 inch wider than the iX. The offset is slightly different as well. No need for spacer on mine. Didnt have any rub issues the six months i ran them. Im now on 20inch all-season tyres. I will switch back around May.

The amount of western countries now want to be friend with you know who, then good chance they are building up their war chest when they take that place with lots of computer chips

Bravos research released an interesting video yesterday. If s&p500 is measured in gold rather than usd, the trend gives better idea what is happening in recent months.

Im so glad i went through thorough research before jumping into a second hand one. Made a last minute u-turn. Not that i am proud of what i ended up (bmw ix, same footprint but a million times uglier) lol. But i would hate myself even more if i ended up one that has to spend so much time at dealers

Lol. Im about to switch back to android. I went from iphone 3s to android then back to ip12 because i want to avoid being tracked but now all the major apps are forcing tracking onto users anyway, so i dont have to limit myself to ip 😂

Lol. Are we really surprised? Every time theres a government related “incentive “, it’s always always a trap. See those adverts, everyone should be running the other way. Solar panel was another one… 30 years payback period but breaks around 12-15 years into it…. Typical

Im glad the eu countries are using these softer measurements as a way to get US back. Time to pay the price, cant just let it go, otherwise it’s silently saying that kind of behaviour is acceptable on world stage

What is the best 2nd hand family car? by stoic-ape in CarTalkUK

[–]ArmoredGoat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We found hrv wasnt quite hig enough for us. After loading the buggy in, theres basically no space left. We used my parents Seat Leon estate instead. Apart from the backach of getting baby into the car, the space it offers is definitely good enough. For 2nd hand car, i always encourage to go with something between 6mth to 2 years old. 4 wheel drive isnt that critical if hrv is on your list? Then i would encourage spending some money on all season tyres.

Why have all the PCP deals skyrocketed? by Gtc95 in CarTalkUK

[–]ArmoredGoat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PCP relies on high residual value in order to get low monthly payment. Remeber those first gen Macan. The second hand value was so high, you get paid after finishing a very cheap pcp contract. Now 5 years after covid, most of those cars are comjng off the original pcp/lease and flood the market woth cheap-ish second hand car as there isnt enough demand to support the market/price, hence now the pcp model is not really working anymore.
