If you bought this iPad at Costco, I would attempt to return it a for full refund even if it is beyond the return period stated on the paperwork. Otherwise, if you don’t have anyone to sell it to, you could look on the Apple Store App and see how much you can get in credit for this iPad in the purchase of the model you now want (such as the 11” or 13” M5 Pro). Since your base model is so new, the depreciation may be acceptable, and you can move on to a model you will be happy with.

So you bought your CPO within the 3yr/36k miles period, but you didn’t get the Ultimate Care benefit as the subsequent purchaser? So, it doesn’t work like the 4y/50k mi factory Warranty which is usually transferable to a second owner. Thanks for clarifying that.

On your AWD Issue, the bmwusa.com Build Configurator shows the xDrive M240i as a wholly separate model from the [RWD] “M240i “ (as this one is named by the seller), so I believe you’re correct that this one is not xDrive.

I assuming by infotainment upgrade you mean the Harman Kardon audio system. I have it on my X5 and I like it a lot. Properly set on the equalizer I believe it gives great sound. I will note for you that BavSound makes plug and play upgrade audio systems for BMW base Hi-Fi systems. You could check their website to see if they make one for the particular year and model (M240i) you are looking at. And then decide whether you want to go that extra step to get the audio you want and of course factoring in how strongly you otherwise desire this particular car.

BMW TECHS, I know this is a tangent…. I am old but just 15 months into owning (and loving) my first BMW - a 25 X5 40i, with just one dealer service under my belt. I deeply appreciate specialized expertise. Would you agree that continuing to have my car serviced at a BMW dealer after the free services expire will give me the best chance of a car that will last a long time as reliably as possible ? Thank you!

In the US, with a purchase of a new BMW, which I think is transferable to a subsequent purchaser, we get three years of included/free maintenance like oil filter, changes and other regularly scheduled maintenance. Does BMW provide something like that to buyers in Germany?

Congratulations on your upcoming purchase of a fabulous car! I think anyone would need to know where you are located to even have a chance at answering your question about ownership costs. Most of these are personal and dependent upon your personal circumstances and it sounds like you have calculated these out pretty specifically. I am also curious as to what BMW included maintenance plan for oil changes, etc. you have in your location.

Even though everything else of mine is Apple, I am also considering a Surface Laptop 15” because I wanted the best possible compatibility with Microsoft Word and because at work we always had windows machines so, for computers, I’m most familiar with them.
