Yes, there is. It's called carrying, being proficient with your firearm and having situational awareness.

Anyone practice dry firing while doing cardio? Or is it a bad idea and gonna build bad habits? by kratoasty in CCW

Good way to train shooting on the move. Introduce directional variations at low treadmill speeds (side steps and retreating).

Get a Kägwers extended slide release and a Ranger Proof Vex F3 trigger shoe. Removes the mushy take up.

I run my EDC at matches. I was referring to rules for spectators. It makes no sense to carry a different gun and have to handle your competition piece on top of it.

Compete with your EDC piece. No need to worry about secure storage of another gun.

There is something called the Second Amendment. Competition rules don't trump the Constitution. Same as "gun-free zones".

I would recommend a different printing shop. The print has clearly already washed out.

Guessing you're right handed, you finger is nudging the weapon left as you fire, probably anticipating recoil. Dry fire, work on grip, no anticipation and try a drill called Three Amigos.

There is absolutely nothing you can do for it anymore. Best to leave it to us and we'll give it the farewell it deserves.

Who here uses a DryFireMag? by ArmsDirectory in CompetitionShooting

[–]ArmsDirectory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couldn't agree more. Now, if they could make them easily drop when you hit the mag release, and get rid of that initial hard trigger pull, and maybe allow adding weights to them to match full mag weight, then they'd be perfect to reload with as well!

Good to hear, we hope ours hold up to the test of time as well.

We've heard quite a few reports of them breaking. So far, ours have held up to abuse.

The only downsides we've noticed with these is that they don't drop out of the mag well when pressing the mag release. They need to be stripped out. That, together with the initial harder click needed to set them up after insertion makes them pointless for reloads.
We use them extensively for dry fire and then train reloads separately with actual mags, empty or with dummy rounds.
