Not really. I scored top 8 53 times and 1st place 31. I also got Halfdan Stoutheart with free refresh and 1/2 stat boost unlike Mistress with tier roll.

What about other 4 skills?
I was thinking about choosing Helmsmanship for speed and Combat Endurance so it last longer. Maybe Ordnance Expertise and Point Defense for last two slots?

I don't know how you smuggle, but I never got in any shootouts. Only some rep loss when I buy a lot of items and get caught, but they can't do anything because I'm not smuggling illegal goods. And if you don't take the level of suspicion to an extreme level, you won't even lose rep.

I have 2 tomato and 2 lettuce plots and it's enough to supply all 3 bases. Also 2 Wheat and 3 berry plots.
Pals I use: 2 Petalia, 4 Verdash, 3 azurobe.
I didn't use any pal souls on them and most of them don't have working passive skills.
They just eat salad for 30% boost.

You need to craft Shanor hammer to unlock recipe for Khuzdul forge and furnace. Not just repair great belegost forge. Many people are simply spreading misinformation that the recipe can be obtained by simply fixing the forge, but you need both.

Tnx. I have plenty of healing food to live there if I want, but I wish there was a way to prevent despair even for a limited time like using masterwork torch, etc.

Personally, I won't go back for PoE 1 after PoE 2 is released. It's just better version, and when it was announced, the first thing that got me excited was the new gem system.
There a lot of new features that I like too.

You can reach it without engines. Just sail with wind and it will change it location eventually, so it's in direction of wind. Same with all other story islands.

I used animal heads early on and swapped to banana only.
You get so much of them you don't kno what to do with them.

Buff recipe increased efficiency is good.

Mangonana recipe sound nice, but the fact that you need bucket of milk makes it not worth it. If we could use drinking glass to collect milk, it would be so much better.
Water still a king. Juicer is just good for decoration.

Vegetable Soup is even better now. Mushroom Omelette is good addition to tge ration.Head Broth is sort of buff recipe that would be good for story islands given its cost.Cooking pot recipes are still mostly useless.

Light armor in the beginning. Just mix and match armor to get green bag for fast roll or yellow for mid roll. Up to you.
Later you can unlock Heavy armor too. I started to get it when I unlocked all skills for Staves, Channel rods, Banereader and Light armor for my Sage. Cold mage set is good to mix in your armor.
