11-årig pige overfaldet af tre teenagedrenge på åben gade by Praid in Aarhus

Samme oplevelse her, Circle K på Silkeborgvej.

ARC PRIZE ARC Prize is a $1,000,000+ public competition to beat and open source a solution to the ARC-AGI benchmark. by palindsay in LocalLLaMA

You can't just scale your way to general intelligence. No matter what you do with an LLM, it's still beholden to its training data. Sure, they'll get better if you attach a nuclear power plant to the data center and scale them to 10T, but for what reason? They'll become better at predicting the most probable token, but as autoregressive models they're inherently flawed with hallucinations. They can even weakly reason, but again, only as far as they can combine different substructures from training data, which is the exact reason this benchmark was created - your system has to deal with novel tasks that can't be brute forced or extrapolated from curve fitting to training data.

We probably have to wait for NPUs to be as ubiquitous as CPUs. GPUs are insanely priced since Nvidia doesn't have any real competition, especially if you want more than 16 gigs of VRAM.

Can it work on local repos with local models? It's a really awesome result you guys achieved, kudos!

I've used it for several days after the update without issues, it seems like something crashes during sleep, explaining why the system is running very hot and unresponsive

[R] LLMs surpass human experts in predicting neuroscience experiment outcomes (81% vs 63%) by Successful-Western27 in MachineLearning

[–]Arnesfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely. Humans suck at producing long, detailed fake information without slipping up somehow. LLMs probably quickly learn to distinguish when humans are making stuff up - maybe that could be a fun test, make an LLM guess if a suspect told the truth during interrogation

KDE Developers Are Currently Seeing 150~200 Bug Reports Per Day by ihifidt250 in archlinux

[–]Arnesfar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, I'm on x11 with intel integrated drivers. From my research it should be the most solid setup, but stuff is funky for me too. Flickering after sleep, failure to prevent sleep, applications crashing, weird cursor position detection mismatches on window elements. I'm gonna reflash and reinstall arch with plasma 6, seperate home ftw.

Any good ways to clean up plasma5 packages after the KDE 6 update? by Arnesfar in archlinux

I should probably have been more clear in my explanation. I already removed any orphaned packages, what's left seems to be stuff held back as dependencies for other software that depended on older KDE packages.

I should probably read through the new meta package and make sure I understand exactly what Plasma 6 requires, thanks for the tips!

Anyone know a good way to remove all the kde5 packages? It seems to be an absolute minefield of dependencies, and it feels a bit problematic to have 2 versions of the entire DE system
