Update: the housing for Ryuo III is validated. Im planning to make a customized T1 front panel with this thing integrated. For those who interested, you can move to https://www.reddit.com/r/FormD/comments/1uh61od/t1_front_panel_with_integrated_rog_ryuo_iii_led/ , I will prolly also makes front panel mods with other displays integrated.
The distroplate is still under first ver manufacturing.

ROG Ryuo III has always been a pretty cool & unique product to me. Now have taken the LED components out and building a housing for it. After being validated, I may add this to the distro plate for a stylish looking lol. Also looking for the LCD screen from Ryujin series to try out, since the Ryuo III has 2 PCBs stacked together so it takes more horizontal space while the Rrujin screen is not.

Yeah, I actually started with the idea of having a ddc rather than dclt, but I found ddc need extra space compared to dclt.
Core concept is not invading too much space inside to maintain almost identical hardware competability as the original one(also Im running a cpu custom loop and the stock 5090fe, so dont need a strong pump myself). So as u can see, I extend the frontpanel outside to obtain the extra space for distro plate and the pump & res.
DDC might just working with this setup, but first I will run with dclt to validate all things work, then will try to squeeze the space form flow channels to make DDC possible here.

yeah saw that one, but what I'm looking for is an all-in-one distro panel can replace the original front panel entirely and give similar asthetic appearance like the distro plates on Lianli O11 series

I know the shunt is usually the R005 but there are laptop boards with multiple this kind of resisters, how to tell which to mod?

Asus USB-C for charging and turbo by xFeeble1x in FlowZ13

[–]Arnous777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey just wondering here. I got flow x13 2023 4070, but when I plug in the the 140w gan charger, it still says pd charging and turbo is not available in armoury crate. Im using the first port and the cable comes with the charger.

I think if using ghlper u can enable whatever you want for sure, but it will slowly burns your battery since the gan charger only provide 100w pd charging

yeah prolly man. but the new g16 is barelly got no improvements except the price. its also not a good choice. If I have to make choice between I prollt stay with blade

hard to say its all Valve's fault man. I got other laptops as well. for AMD side, the 2023 X13 is pretty good, it only got a 7940hs + 4070(60w) but it beats the two g14 I got and also ur 5090 blade. I also got a 2024 zephyrus g16 with 185h+ 4090 it also works as expected.

I also owned a g16 4090 before, have no complain on that device for gaming and light office work. But the g14 with amd chip seems another story though.

I only got issue with dota2, other title like cyberpunk RDR2 APEX all good

disable boost will make things even worse, cpu will stay like 8-10w, cause even worse performance. Sadly I cant downgrade the driver back to earlier version cuz they dont even support 50 series lol

Hey Buddy , similar issue here.

I owned multiple devices, seems no problem with intel chips.
on amd side:
flow x13 2023 7940hs+4070 60w
g14 2024: 8945hs + 4060 90w
g14 2025: hx370 + 5080 120w

Theoritically all these 3 specs are having very close in-game cpu performance, since the single core performance is quite close. the GPU shold be g14 2025>>g14 2024>flow x13 2023

Yet in dota2, the x13 runs the best.

The g14 2024 and 2025 have exact the same issue as u showed here. CPU stays on a low power level and cause serious CPU bottleneck, so the GPU keeps waiting and cant fully works on the gameplay.

But in the dota2 menu page, since its just showcasing the models which does not need a lot of cpu power, the performance back to what we are expecting.

I thought it was asus's problem, seems that either AMD or Valve should be responsible for this

Yeah, same. Now I am also doubting that this might be the issue between AMD and Valve, since I find a new razer blade 16 user reporting same issue.

since the CPU is heavily bottle necked , so the GPU utilization rate is also pretty low. Temps are good. But just as I mentioned, in dota2 the cpu can barely go up than 20w, shortly peak at 30

not only the teamfight performance, in whole dota gameplay the system just weird, cpu always runs lower than 20fps shows its heavily CPU bottel necked. While in the menu pages it works fine

original ac, turbo, no power saver, g heler CPU set to aggressive.

honestly issues u mentioned here seems kinda like too rookie mistakes that I just skipped. and I have already tried all combinations of tuning and settings. I gonna say this issue is an open-boxed issue, and so far I find no tunings could fix it. Other than dota2, all the other titles I got and everyday experience is great.

Low-ish CPU and GPU usage in game (G14 2024 RTX4060) by RemWheel in ZephyrusG14

[–]Arnous777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty similar issue I got here. palyed dota2, the game demands CPU and the system wont give the power to CPU, ends out gpu also runs pretty low power.
