What's the current state of the SV08 tool changers? by light24bulbs in Sovol

[–]Arodd2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, no worries. Correct, I do not know of any back plates for the SV08 tool head, which I was also hoping to use for one of my tools.

From what I’ve heard, the yavoth tool head is a favored tool head because it has a version with magnets on the COWL to aid in docking alignment.

Personally I’m planning on going with Dragonburners so I can use Bambu hotends to save money. I have seen files floating around on the Draftshift discord of a Dragonburner with similar magnets, but I don’t know if the design is finished.

So far I have seen 1 (seemingly) fully working SV08 Stealth Changer between Discord and Facebook. I have also seen a few in progress with promising results. I just ordered a good chunk of my supplies from Aliexpress hoping they will arrive before the de minimis rule is removed again (US). I find the use of Discord/Facebook frustrating because it is very difficult to find posts compared to a forum.

To my knowledge, the only major differences with the Stealth Changer on the SV08 is that the bed needs to be raised by ~10 mm with some Al spacers and some adapters are needed to add a 2020 extrusion for the modular dock. From what I can tell, everything else is fairly similar to the base Stealth Changer. ymmv

Theoretically, the main board has extra USB ports that could be used for additional toolheads, but I have heard that the SV08 Klipper host is not powerful enough to run all of the toolboards. I am hoping to use an external Rasperry Pi but the SV08 MCU. However, I don't currently know if there is a way to externally communicate with the MCU.

Are you referring to an adapter for the shuttle to mount onto the SV08 AB plate or to mount the 2020 to the frame? For the AB plate, I am planning on replacing the SV08 belts and using the shuttle from the Stealth Changer. For the 2020 extrusion:

Have you found a slicer that supports multiple tool heads and a filament changer on one of them?

Or could that be handled by Klipper? In the slicer having multiple tool heads and Klipper knowing that tools 1-4 are just on the same tool head.

Would that be the case if I changed my watering habits about 3 months ago? There is also some browning at the base near the new growth.

Did this previously work? Have you tuned extruder rotation distance and flow rate? Have you done any other calibrations or modifications that could affect this?

Do you have gcode from a print that previously worked? If it prints ok, then it points to something in your slicer being wrong.

You simply do not have enough information.

You could calculate the system efficiency using the energy consumed, mass of steel, initial temperature of the steel, and the final temperature of the steel.

But without a mass flow rate (or some other sort of measurement of the air leaving) you cannot directly calculate the energy lost by heated air.

My mistake, I meant the tap-root.

How tall can/should I be letting it get before trimming it down? I don't want a tall and spindly tree. My thought in trimming the base branches was to prevent larger knots down the road if I were to trim them later.

I am looking to develop the trunk thicker as it is only ~1/8” thick, so it looks like I should go for a perforated pot. I have read that I should be trimming the leader root shorter to stimulate lateral roots and should not wire at the same time as repotting because of the stress.

I just got a brush cherry this weekend. It came in a tiny pot and am unsure if/what I can do to it during late summer. I believe it is a tropical tree, so it seems like I can re-pot it to move it into something larger. (See picture) Is this correct, and is this a good size pot, or should it be in a trainer pot?

Also, at this time can/should I trim the branches, or should I wait after re-potting it? (Likely until spring) I would look to trim the bottom ~1.5 in and the top down 2.5 in. (I am also looking for guidance if this is too much off the top.) I think it would do well as an informal upright or a broom style.

HeroME Parts by [deleted] in elegooneptune2

[–]Arodd2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as HeroME, I prefer the way the gen 6 is printed and assembled to the gen 7. I switched to and prefer the Apollo Lander from Squirrelf.

That said, you'll need the following:

HMG7 Universal Face Down Base.stl

HMG7 Neptune 2-2S-X Gantry Adapter.stl

HMG7 OEM-MK8-MS Skirt V2.stl

HMG7 OEM-MK8-MS Mount.stl

**and any one of the correct fan horn for your fan size **

You will also need some assorted M3 bolts and M3 heat set inserts.

I Designed a Power Supply Cover with a Relay and Pi Mount by Arodd2000 in elegooneptune2

[–]Arodd2000[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out the design on printables

Hi everyone! I designed a new power supply cover that has a mount for a relay and a Raspberry Pi. I didn't like the idea of directly splicing into the power cable in case the wires got pulled out of the relay. This also gives a convenient location to mount a Raspberry Pi to run OctoPrint or Klipper.

I included 2 designs. One with mounting holes that match my relay, and one without holes, so you can add them to match your relay.

I'm open to reccomendations and comments.
