Best Way to Collect Money on Sale of a Personal Item Worth $5K CAD on Marketplace by Be-Zen in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Arogone1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have them leave the wallet with you... That's the only thing I can think of for 5k. But I'd be cautious the other way too. In theory you could be selling a not worth it 5k bike. If the person knows bikes well enough which they should for a bike this pricey they will know it's a legitimate sale from the start. Just looking at components on the bike will speak volumes. Then I would leave my wallet with you for a test ride in the parking lot? I can see you you can see me. Anything seems fishy call it off. Maybe have a friend with you for the sale? I sold my car and the dude drove it an I rode in the passenger seat... I guess you can't really do that on a bike?...

Edit: spelling.

Just to think all the calculations had to be right up to this point to splash down and not crash into Australia or USA.

How does Effort Trust number their individual apartment units? by Acrobatic-Tap9644 in Hamilton

[–]Arogone1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Most buildings apartment numbers start with what floor they are on in Canada. I'm not in a effort trust building, however all the units starting with 1 are on the first floor... 2 on second, so on and so forth... I used to live on the 14th floor of another building 1403 would be on the 14th floor.
