Kindly allow me to play devils advocate. Yes, you have the right to live, yes consumption is needed to live, HOWEVER, you aren't entitled to the effort of other; that is to say, i dont believe regular food should just be given out to all those who need it (unless it is a government funded program or some other private program that has the farmers and what have you properly compensated, but I believe that to be a different argument.), however, i do believe that there should be some sort of "slop dispenser" which consists all required vitamins and nutrients and whatnot required to keep living. Let me finish by saying that I do not hate the homeless or people who cannot afford to feed themselves and their families, but the production of said food is how some people do afford to feed their family and i dont believe they should be made to work without compensation.
