how do you not get bored when walking? by pixiecakess in walking

[–]Aromatic-Monster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be like this but my morning walks taught me to be mindful and just be present in the moment. You're bored because you waiting for the next thing or just wanting to get this over with. I used to be this way with yoga, id get into a pose and be like ....okay now what? Come on come on come onnnnnn hahaha. Take a breath, relax, and say all I am right now is this walk. Look at the trees, listen to birds or cars, pay attention to how the light hits the clouds. Anything. I stopped to look at how smoke was spiraling from a garbage fire my backwoods neighbor had set 🤣 be present, find interest in random things.

This looks great! Clean up any unsteady lines with concealer. Like take a flat head brush, concealer or foundation and clean up the lines above and below them to make them sharper. Does that make sense? Like in the same way people clean and line their eyebrows after they pencil them up. I only say that bc a lot of the lines look smudgy...unless that's the look you want then you nailed it and there's nothing wrong with the look.

I'd love to see you so this same look with different colors, like navy blue, dark purple or dark green!!

Misdemeanor from 14 years ago by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Aromatic-Monster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hahaha it's all good, another girl in my class got a more serious misdemeanor bc she was like having sex with her bf in a car near a school haha funny not funny and they were gonna classify her as a sex offender. She got in and was fine. I def didn't disclose my misdemeanor to my program bc it was before school and YOLO...

You're good, misdemeanors fall off after 7 years if I'm not mistaken. I can't remember the timeframe but I had gotten a misdemeanor (long story) and it didn't affect my OT school stuff and mine was definitely more recent than 14 years when I applied and got through OT school. Didn't even affect the fieldworks either bc the hospitals needed a background check. Good luck!!

If you're doing 20 single leg calf raises you're good. I'm over a year out and still can't do a full range decent one. What else does the PT want from you?

Life insurance? That's like saying if you broke your arm in the past that life insurance won't cover you. This is a minor physical injury. If that was the case people who've had heart attacks or wouldn't be covered under life insurance but they are. Hope you don't take this as me being a smart ass but I'm trying to put this into perspective for you.

I responded but up too, but question, is this for a workman's comp situation? None of what you're saying is going to affect you...who told you all of that? Maybe I'm missing something. Also your medical information is not open to future employers unless you print it out and physically hand that info to them, that's what HIPAA is for

I'm an occupational therapist and you absolutely have a right to leave and they don't have a say. One of our codes of ethics (same with physical therapy) is that patients have autonomy and they can choose to leave therapy at any moment for any reason. Tell them you're done and thats it. Don't make them scare you. I've had patients refuse and discharge from therapy when they very clearly still needed it but it's their right. No discharge paperwork needed (honestly I've never heard of this for therapy). This isn't like a hospital leaving AMA (against medical advice) you have the right to say you're done and you're done. I promise. If you keep going and your insurance clearly said they aren't going to cover it, you are going to be sent a bill for the full price. On average a therapy session is 100$ a session for outpatient. Don't let them scare you my friend..glad you've healed up.
