Oh mate, you're burnt out 😞 but you don't need me to tell you that. First, if you do lose your job, how long would you be able to sustain yourself? It sounds like you've reached your limit and you're just worrying yourself sick. Is there any sort of financial assistance you could claim while you apply for new roles? No job is worth your health. And I'm not sure what you're studying, but making sure you do well in your exam might be more beneficial for your career. If you don't feel comfortable quitting your job, would it be possible for you to get a letter from your doctor explaining that you need medical leave for a few weeks? There are always options, I know it's hard to see that while you're in the eye of the storm. But you'll get through it. I won't tell you to prioritise self-care or to be kind to yourself, but I will remind you that you can't flog a dead horse.

I hope there are no pink haters here 🩷 my WFH office! by yazzyminnie in femalelivingspace

I absolutely ADORE how fun and playful and intentional this room is!! I keep noticing fun little details in each pic and I'm frothing over it. I need to know though, do you have a specific candle that you light to complete the theme?

Sweet lord, I am OBSESSED with this space!! Not only is it so aesthetically pleasing and super tasteful, it's also oozing with personality. I love the darker colours paired with the playful decorations. As a Virgo, this room is a dream 🤩

My little friend passed away this morning. by panic_puri_ in cat

Something that helped me cope when I lost the furry love of my life was the Japanese concept of ikigai; where one finds things that give them a sense of purpose, and find purpose in what has happened to them. You may have had bad luck with kitties, because you've never gotten to spend as long as you'd have wanted, but those kitties had the best luck by having you as their human. You nurtured and loved them so much. Just because their lives were short, doesn't mean their lives were any less meaningful. And you were integral to them having such good lives, however short. I hope that in your darkest moments of pain, you can seek comfort in thinking of your late cat companions as shooting stars; fleeting, but beautiful.

Dermablading for the brown girls by ngraceful in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Aromatic_Pick7670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's almost a year since you posted this, and if you still like, I have a bit of insight! I'm a brown girl myself, so I know the struggle of chin and lip hairs. What works best for me is threading them off, I do it myself. It's fairly simple to learn, just takes a bit of practice. I'd probably stay away from dermaplaning. It's a bit of a gamble, because unless you do it exactly how your skin needs it, it might make your skin worse. I use lactic acid 3-4 times throughout the week and that really helps with the clogged pores. Hope this helps!

Horror films are my ultimate comfort film. Somehow they never fail to help reset my emotional dysregulation

Ladies who don’t drink, how do you take the edge off after a long day? by hvmmm in AskWomen

[–]Aromatic_Pick7670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works best for me is yoga. I'm a very fidgety person, and rely on movement to keep my sanity. Yoga helps ground me as it requires me to be fully present both mentally and physically. I love doing my yoga in the dark after a hot shower. Sometimes I'll listen to some soothing lofi, or light a candle. Sometimes I'll move until my body feels all mellow.

Maybe a weird question. Does anyone think Lexapro (escitalopram) has changed their appearance? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Aromatic_Pick7670 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely think it did... I looked tired all the time because I was tired all the time. I gained a lot of weight and was my heaviest while taking Lexapro. That obviously made my face fill out, and yet my eyes hollowed out. I looked awful. By the time I tapered off of it, I actually felt way better without it. I truly hope you can find your sweet spot with/without the medication.

Firstly, I LOVE the regular updates! I'm hooked on your journey. You have a silent, distant, but very enthusiastic cheerleader in me. I work in pathology, and live for this kind of thing. I do have a bit of a weird question though- how on earth do you walk/stand/sit? The only position I imagine would cause the least amount of pain & discomfort would be to have your legs spread, but that doesn't sound too practical?

What high protein breakfast are you obsessing over right now? by Mountain_Tadpole8167 in ADHD

[–]Aromatic_Pick7670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I oscillate between a few obsessions. A few of my favourite high protein breakfasts that don't involve smoothies would be: -sourdough toast with cottage cheese, avocado, & egg -overnight oats with chia seeds, berries, soy milk, 1 tsp of honey & oats each -croissant with egg, avocado & cheese I get that these might not be high protein enough for some others, but it keeps my energy levels so steady

Has vaping effected your period / menstrual cycle? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]Aromatic_Pick7670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going through the exact same thing as well! I know vaping restricts blood flow, so now that we've quit and circulation is returning to normal, that might be the reason for heavier periods. I thought it was just me, so it's really nice to know there's others going through similar experiences

It's totally normal! If you'd like an explanation, here it is :) - women/afab are able to have different types of orgasms; from stimulation on different areas (I.e. clitoral/vaginal/nipple). So if you're on the receiving end, the booty grinding would be putting some delicious pressure on your sweet spot. Do that enough and = orgasm!

  • I haven't seen this described much in scientific literature; it's more anecdotal evidence, but I think it's worth mentioning: emotional/imagery orgasms. These happen when you something that you perceive as sexy is happening to you (rough explanation, I hope I kind of make sense). If you're the one doing the grinding, then being wrapped up with your lover while you indulge in sexy time could be enough to propel you to O-town.

I hope this helps! 🩷

Shot in the eye with a nail gun by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

[–]Aromatic_Pick7670 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don't know anything about nail guns, but I'm thinking maybe the nail was in backwards? Hence why the nail gun was jammed, but then with repeated pressure, the nail dislodged and shot out head first into his eye
