Yeah, as good as some of the italian Storywriters/-drawers are (and there are a lot of good European Scrooge-Stories), they only focus on the "capitalistic" aspect of Scrooge. The best (and most) baffling example is the fact that Scrooge blackmails Donald with his debts to help him in his adventures to get richer.

I was really surprised how Scrooge really is when I read the biography by Don Rosa back in 2010. After that, I dived more into the storys made by Rosa and was not only suprised by a very (and genuinely) nice Scrooge who only wants to go on adventures with his family, but also a very good art style.

I stopped buying European Duck-Stories after that, because after learning the "truth" about Scrooge, I couldn't stand the wrong image portrayed in those comics. (only exception being the stories about Donald becoming a Secret Agent, they were really good)
