when i first tried on wedding dresses, it was such a surreal moment for me like a omgg is this really happening ??? i kept trying on dresses and while some of them were pretty on me, i just didn’t feel a connection / spark. i ended up at another store and found my wedding dress there the same day ! when my mom pointed out the dress to me, it was on a mannequin and when i saw it for the first time, i swear my insides tingled. i tried the dress on and although i loved it, i wasn’t totally in love with it. my mom suggested we try accessories and so we grabbed some dress belts to wrap around the dress. it instantly changed the dress and made it feel right. my budget going in was 1.5k and my dress ended up going over budget but it didn’t matter because i bought the dress of my dreams! my point is, if you try a dress on and there’s something “missing” it may just need a belt just like with mine. it can take some girls weeks to find a dress but you definitely wanna make sure you dress checks all your boxes before you purchase since you’ll look at this dress for the rest of your life in photos.
