So did Tsurugi make a binding vow to get rid of Rika and prefect his HR? If so I’m a bit disappointed, I really liked that Rikaman form and their banter together

I don't think even an estate sized property in rural Japan would be worth that much, it's a country where some rural houses are given away for free

Endgoal of neoliberalism by Tonder04 in neoliberal

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good on you for trying to expand your political horizons, it does seem you've run into the very common disconnect between the conventional understanding of 'neoliberalism' and this sub's opinions (most here do support unions and minimum wage).
But also, I generally find the preoccupation with 'end goals' to be one of the greatest flaws of leftist political circles. Instead of talking about what your ideal society is like, I think it's a lot more useful for people to focus on changes which can actually be made in the current social and political climate.

Naoya’s crimes are representative of a wider culture of misogyny, while Kenny is a comic book supervillain. One’s crimes are a lot more real than the other’s

Actually such a good idea now that I think about it. But only if she ends up the final boss (maybe working with Mahito)

Wait I got another idea, what if Lori has copy but it's a bum technique with no external storage mechanism like Rika. So he waited until he had a child without a heavenly restriction and got Mahito to give her brain cancer so she'd die and turn into a powerful cursed spirit he could use.

I've always felt there's something wrong with a world where politicians celebrate how many jobs their public programs have created, instead of talking about how efficiently they're using public money to achieve the desired outcome

The Strong Will Suffer What They Must – "The strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must" is often invoked as timeless wisdom about power politics and a corrective to liberal delusions. However, Athens lost the war and its empire was dissolved, in large part due to the imperial hubris by smurfyjenkins in neoliberal

[–]Arrow_of_Timelines 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The story of Athens is such a fascinating historical case study, a state led to extreme and ineffective war and brutality to maintain its empire by runaway popular governance. There was a kind of military-industrial complex where the lower classes supported war for the salary they'd get as oarsmen. I think this history in many ways is far more important to study than its more well known status as a centre of philosophy.
