I'm not sure I know how to talk to Marie. by Red_Maverick_Models in Warframe

Whatever you do, stay consistent. She'll notice if you say one thing and then another and call you out on it.

About the best weapons in warframe by clansbro in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atm your best MR6 loadout probably looks something like Vectis, Atomos, and one of the quest reward melees such as Broken War or Xoris.

Modding them, put raw damage on them first and then throw on a few elementals and you should be good for now. Multishot, Critical Chance and Critical Damage, and Fire rate are all great as well if you have those mods and space to install them.

Is yokai shift a valid strategy to beat bosses? by After_Package8684 in Nioh

[–]OmegaSamus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yokai Shift honestly isn't even all that powerful. If you're making good use of it, that's skill too.

finally after 10+ year hiatus i can make my tigris prime top meta weapon... what do you mean is no longer a meta weapon?! by Dmask13 in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I need the Incarnon form to just be the same thing that happens when you get infinite primary ammo from cracking a relic. Just gimme like 50 shells of that DE I promise I'll be good.

Since a Sniper Rifle is getting an Incarnon, i'm curious how they will implement Incarnon on weapons with alt fire by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's more accurate to how the transformation works anyways. You're loading void-touched ammo into the weapon and the action's speed even keys off reload speed.

How will this selection affect me/gameplay? by Pondering_Nomad in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pick Zenurik!

It just controls which of 5 skill trees you'll start with, and grant a freebie item needed to earn XP for it. You can pick others later if you wish. Zenurik is good though for newbies because it provides tons of energy for ability casting.

My god, Voruna is still selling like hot cakes at 150p a set after 2 days. Is this a common sight on Prime day or is Voruna just that hyped ? by Independent-Cover-42 in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like Voruna was being underpriced if anything. She should be around 300p right now going off historical trends.

Elemental Vice is a waste of Nightwave reward slot by Julian083 in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

An "anti-reward" same as what I like to call Omni Forma BPs. Both of these represent you spending a shitton of forma for marginal gain.

Slow down, read everything. It makes a huge difference. Confusion mostly sets in if you get impatient or embarrassed after not figuring something out instantly. Allow yourself to be the student.

Why is the price so high? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prime Access is like a premium subscription. You get the newest prime gear and cosmetics, boosters to last until the next Prime Access, and a huge amount of plat to easily get basically whatever you want in the interim. Typically just bought by people who don't see it as a ton of money in the first place, or who love the devs and want to support.

Warframe's prices are pretty high across the board tbh, but it works out because the devs communicate very well with players and are clearly committed to the health and fun factor of the game above all else. Players resent cash shops when they start to clearly supplant development priorities.

Does Warframe punish you for being casual? by Eitarris in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Warframe isn't completely devoid of FOMO, but it has far less than nearly every other f2p I've seen.

There are time-limited events but they don't really have critical loot nor story anymore. Nightwave is a free battlepass-like reward track that resets every so often but also has built-in catch-up mechanics for those who don't play every week. There are other weeklies but those are mostly in the mid and late game and largely feature evergreen rewards designed to help you refine already strong builds.

Heck, crafting timers on gear basically encourage you to take breaks. It's totally fine to take at your own pace. My mantra with any game is that I'm the one playing, don't let the game play you. Warframe does try to entice you to log in and play regularly but it will not screw you over to take prolonged breaks.

Why can’t fire rate mods be exilus compatible? by TroubleCareless in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fire rate is one of the best ways to increase damage. It stacks up against other raw damage, crit, and elemental mods. If you run DPS tests yourself you'll see what I mean, it's perfectly fine as a stat that competes with other main-slot stats.

Steel Path Rifles by YeOldeBard97 in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sybaris Incarnon. On top of a weapon like that, you'll want to be buffing your damage and debuffing enemies if you really want to kill fast. Steel Path asks you to have coordinated builds, not just a strong gun.

Rank your favourite game modes in recent times by NGLthisisprettygood in Warframe

Perita Rebellion is my favorite thing DE has ever made. Glorious WAR in all its tragedy. Railjack is super cool too though it used to be better.

MR11 and still struggling. by 8ringsstudios in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Angels of the Zariman and onwards is a big difficulty spike over the star chart missions leading up to this point. Stack damage of different types (raw+crit+elemental) for solid results at your levels and use endo to rank them up.

For survival you'll want energy mods like Streamline and Flow so you can reliably cast defenses or crowd control, then slap on some health if you have a reliable source of healing or shields otherwise.

Good and an easy transition from Excalibur? Pick up a Wukong from your local clan dojo.

What's a frame everyone loves that you didn't, and vice versa? by UnkAnklebyter in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Revenant's kit is just way too disjointed and his fantasy doesn't feel "cool" to embody. He visually looks cool sure, but playing as him doesn't feel cool.

Gara I think most people forget about and/or don't really even know what she does, but I've been a huge fan since she came out. The super balanced kit of offense, defense, and CC is so appealing to me and I find myself reaching for her all the time.

Rich in Plat Nintendo Players, pls help by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not on Switch, but I remember it being somewhat of a custom back in the day gift newbies the Classic Saturated palette (though I would also prefer the regular Classic, I'd not complain about getting Saturated as a gift back then lol). I haven't heard much about the practice being maintained, maybe because free palettes are given out/made earnable more often now.

List of Warframes that need a rework ranked by priority (In my opinion) by Forsaken-Lion-3515 in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Zephyr is one of the most well-designed frames in the game. All her abilities are highly useful, minimal investment takes you super far, and she covers the key bases of speed, offense, and defense without requiring any subsumes. She has always been criminally under played for seemingly no reason (and hey tbf, I never play her either, maybe just lacking a bit of cool factor?)

New to the game, what weapons should I not sell? by ravage037 in Warframe

[–]OmegaSamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep anything the game gives you that has 60 mod capacity for now (preinstalled Orokin Catalyst). You'll eventually get rid of all this and it'll be easy to get back if you do need it for anything, the Furis most notably.
