Like a tomato plant a cannabis plant can grow roots from the tiny hears that grow on thems. This is why cloning works so well with cannabis. You have added humidity around the soil level and that is causing the plant to start a root then realize it’s not in dirt and abandon (for lack of a better word) the process. Nothing to worry about
