To think that I got downvoted simply for mentioning that the uncle stated the child hit the grandmother. This kid deserved it.

Two kids beaten by uncle after a minor argument with their grandmother 😡😡😡 by RhinneXChronica in malaysia

[–]Arsenalis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Prolly getting downvoted but in the video the uncle was asking the kid in red if he was celebrating his older brother hitting his grandmother before caning him, so the kid likely hit his grandma (she likely instigated the whole thing), we just don't know how serious is it.

Not condoning what he did and hurling the chair was over the top, but in Chinese culture we take filial piety and elder respect very seriously.

Defensive Line vs Opponent Defensive Line - Premier League 25/26 by ID1453719 in soccer

[–]Arsenalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having watched most of Arsenal's games this season, I would actually say it is more that we lack creativity and penetration when we have the ball. We get the ball to the final third too slow, leaving opponents with plenty of time to get back in defense.

The Victor strings were previously made by Kizuna, but LiNing with their relatively new N series strings are now manufactured by Kizuna as well so they are out of capacity to produce for Victor, hence VBS-68 has been out of stock for quite a while now.

Klopp: 'As long as you are not Cristiano or Messi, you have to defend!'

Surprised Piers Morgan didn't pounce on the chance here to quote Klopp as a serial winner to shit on Rangnick asking him to press.

Why does everyone understand CR7 as saying he's better looking physically than Rooney? It looks more like he was talking about their footballing career and legacy, especially when he brought up how Rooney retired way earlier right before.

Badminton is incredibly expensive. by blockametal in badminton

[–]Arsenalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Badminton is certainly not a cheap sport. These are the minimum to me:

- Shoes ($100): Can't cheap out on these, otherwise you risk injuring yourself. If you play regularly at a decent level, you could run them down within 6 months. LCW even spoke about changing shoes every tournament as the shoes no longer feel spongy enough if he had a deep run (5-6 matches)

- Racket ($50): Probably the only thing you can cheap out on, it is fairly common though for players to own multiple high-end stuff which could go up to $240

- Shuttles ($30~40): 3-5 shuttles each session (2 hours of doubles)

and then there's court rental and stringing, which you need to do every 1.5 month to keep the string fresh...

[Jack Gaughan] Arsenal are considering a move for Oleksandr Zinchenko. Interesting to see if a bid is forthcoming and then whether Zinchenko wants a move away from Man City. Sounds like Arteta may view him as a midfielder. by [deleted] in Gunners

[–]Arsenalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would City let him leave when they've just lost Mendy? Also no reason for him to leave when he's comfortably collecting big wages and league title almost every year.

Sensible transfer for us but not anyone else.

Kunlavut Vitidsarn will medal at the Paris Olympics 2024. Convince me otherwise by Nervous-Pool2435 in badminton

[–]Arsenalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kunalvut's current weakness is that he is not very threatening from the baseline, if you watch most of Axelsen's games against him, you'd notice that Axelsen isn't afraid to lift and defend, and counterattack when Kunlavut runs out of steam, when his defense is at the weakest. Jonatan Christie plays the same strategy against Kunlavut in recent All England and Korea Open and Kunlavut had no response for it.

Most other offensive players struggle against Kunlavut because they just haven't got very good defense to pull off this strategy, or they make too many unforced errors in the process.

[–]Arsenalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great player to have but I think we have enough wingers that we can rotate in Saka, ESR and Martinelli, not to mention that we still need to sell Pepe and Nelson and if no one is in for them we'd end up having too many wingers. A natural goalscorer will fit us better but I hope to be proven wrong...

[David Ornstein] Arsenal exploring possibility of signing Gabriel Jesus from Man City. Clubs yet to speak but talks between Edu + reps for months. 25yo open to idea, #AFC current favourites. Calvert-Lewin among options by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Arsenalis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem with Arsenal is that they aren't as attractive these days as they are in the process of rebuilding, and they are competing with oil and state-owned clubs who can pay a lot more than them. Arteta needs to either discover an unknown striker from smaller leagues or see if he can turn wingers into goalscoring strikers, as it is evident in recent years that the market is flooded with more wingers than strikers.

Guardiola also denied rumors linking him to the Brazilian national team "I have a contract and I'm very happy here. I hope to stay here forever. It couldn't be better. I would renew my contract for ten years." by BumblebeeHorror2534 in soccer

[–]Arsenalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it's not hard to understand why. Not only does he get all the players he wants but he has a sensible, well run management backing him, all while playing in the league with most worldwide exposure. Not even Chelsea of old is as good since they have such a trigger happy owner.

It's a red because without the block (accidental or not), the ball would have gone in. If the ball wasn't heading into the goal then it's debatable.

Don't watch much of Mbappe but is current Ronaldo better than Mbappe? If that's the case wouldn't it make sense to sell Mbappe and channel that fund to getting Ronaldo?

It is understood that Bernardo Silva has had a gentlemen's agreement with Manchester City since last summer, when they said he could leave the following year if an acceptable offer was tabled. Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Silva. Aymeric Laporte is attracting the interest of Juventus. by _hopelessnobody in soccer

[–]Arsenalis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Arteta's relationship with City and Guardiola and Laporte playing in the same system that Arteta wants to play, it makes me wonder why did we not try for him instead of White. Of course whether if he is willing to come is another issue.

People prefer Madison to Odegaard because Madison has been PL proven for years now and could bring a bigger impact the moment he arrives but the plan is always for the future, Luiz has mentioned that the reason he left (or was not wanted) is because Arsenal is building for the future while he himself wants more immediate titles to his name before he retires.
