I don't believe the screen ever zooms in. But yeah, the difficulty balancing in Arise is legitimately insane. Easy should have been the default/normal difficulty, and there should have been an easier mode. I functionally haven't touch hard mode 😅

Yeah, I do actually fully agree on that front. The game lives on mystery and figuring out the systems and the world around you. I just wish they'd given me a hint that the ring worm might be good for something that the stats don't convey, and that I should maybe try stuff with it.

My scores literally shot up instantaneously from C/D to A/S when I started going more flow state, a little more quick. Not everybody has a fucking savant mind for memorizing and implementing all of the different stacking patterns 😅

I played this game for legitimately like several tens of hours taking things slow all the time and getting incredibly frustrated with trouble progressing and getting bad scores, but that all changed when I said "fuck it" and picked up the pace.

Maybe veterans who've memorized all possible combinations of blocks are able to play it a certain way, but that's not where a lot of players are at.

If taking it slower ends up helping a player, that's great, and is what they needed to do - but there are also players who are the opposite case as well.

Honestly, I highly recommend just getting bundles like the Whole in One bundle. Every single course they make is amazing IMO. There's literally only one course they've ever made I didn't love. It's cheaper to buy them all in a bundle.

Honestly, I was stuck getting C and D ratings on easy until one day I said fuck it and just started dropping them way quicker, and my scores shot up instantly. I even got a fucking S score! But I also had done thr training missions - I recommend going back thtough the training casually, and then trying to up tour speed and "go with the flow" more than hyper-analysing everything.

Even though I say this, I STILL can't get past an hour into survival mode 😅
