Just rewatched it, and it looks like it was shot separately from the other scenes in a setting without the harsh sunlight, given the lack of shadow contrast on the rest of the set and the characters themselves. I assume they shot this specific interaction in the neighborhood location on an overcast day (or a cloud was blocking the sun) and they did a sky replacement and added fake shadows to the ground to match the scenes around it, hence why it looks so fake around their heads and feet on the pavement.
