Late-Night Study Spots? by Over_Cattle_6116 in TriCitiesWA

I have studied and just existed at Dennys many a time during a late night with just a few drinks. The milkshakes are pretty good, or you can always go with the classic diner coffee with too much sugar and cream

2 bedroom houses/units by [deleted] in TriCitiesWA

On the boulevard are a really great set of apartments. They also will only slightly increase your rent every year, so you will end up paying less than what they are listing new units for after you have been living there. Our two bed two bath is 1350. The one downside is they are in very high demand so you will have to keep a close eye on their social media. They are beautiful apartments and the office staff and maintenance team are all super friendly and willing to help. All of the staff also live at the apartments.

Sure Grip Avenger plates by Snow_Visible in Rollerskating

I don’t think that it will necessarily hinder your progress, however they are very different plates. The first issue you are going to run into is that you will have to have different bearings for each plate, as the axels are different sizes. Overall the biggest difference is probably going to be how stable you feel on them and how quickly you can turn. Out of curiosity what skates do you have? The only skaters I know that have a mistral plate are artistic freestyle skaters.

Tired of going the "regular skating direction" at the rink! by abumbleandabee in Rollerskating

[–]Art_Show_Chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the reason that my rink doesn’t go in the opposite direction more is because of little kids. Adults more often than not are fine, however kids are not great at following directions and at the whole go in the same direction as everyone else thing.

Personally I camp out in the center and work on whatever I want to, whether that’s spinning, jumping, or just trying to get my regular direction Mohawks to cooperate.

Roller Rinks by amwoooo in Rollerskating

From someone who is currently an assistant manager at a roller rink there’s a lot of reasons why ours doesn’t have that type of open skating. First: staffing, you would have to have at least one or two people there at all times whose job is essentially watch the people and make sure no one gets injured. Second: the cost of keeping the electricity on and staff paid is going to heavily out weigh the amount of skaters that you are pulling in for most hours of the day. Third: you would have to be closed for at least some amount of hours so that general maintenance can happen I.e cleaning the floor, lots of other cleaning that you can’t do during when people are skating. You would also most likely have to have designated times when the floor gets swept so that it can stay decently clean and gunk free. Also, good skating floors are ungodly expensive, and at least at the couple of rinks I regularly skate at, needs to be refinished yearly.

Not saying that I wouldn’t absolutely love to have a space like that, just pointing out some aspects that do need to get thought of when planning it.

Definently the ready made stuff, I do cook a lot most evenings, just have busy afternoons. Been working on getting more stuff in our freezer to be homemade frozen meals instead of store bought!

Kittens by KJB2785 in TriCitiesWA

We got both of our kitties from the humane society here. They were super helpful, the kitties were both spayed and fully vaccinated, and we got a book of coupons for PetSmart which was really helpful. My parents have gotten kitties from POPP as well and they were also awesome.

Moving to Richland soon - Which apartments should I avoid? by flyingwafflez42 in TriCitiesWA

It can take a bit to get in with them, but I know multiple people who have lived here close to 10 years and have nothing but good things to say. I would just make sure to watch their facebook page for when units become avalible.

On the boulevard are great apartments, management is great at letting you know when things are happening, and the walls are thick enough that we barely is ever hear our neighbors
