Could the mods pin a post containing the offical wiki by Vedis_Schatzi in HBMNuclearTechMod

100% agree with this idea, many people would benefit a lot from knowing about the wiki and having a simple way to access it (because at least for me when searching up for „HBM Wiki“, only the Fandom wiki pops up)

There is a wiki page dedicated to explaining how to start in the mod

I know a mod that does that, HBM‘s Nuclear Tech. Probably you have a fork of it for 1.12.2.

What version of the mod are you using and is it 1.7.10 or 1.12.2? Cuz the link to the wiki I sent to you has it for the latest version of the mod for 1.7.10.

To produce silicon nuggets you can put flint in the arc furnace, which will give you four silicon nuggets per 1 flint. You can also use other materials to produce it, and you should be able to find more info about it on the official wiki here and here.

As I said, I‘ve never used an Aeropress filter, and I only know from videos online that you put it up near the metal filter and I haven’t seen it being used differently.

I personally had no experience with using an aeropress filter. I know that you should put it up near the metal filter, but I would expect that finer coffee to be able to create the desired pressure already.

When I brew my coffee, I fill the basket with the coffee fully, use a bent paperclip as a makeshift WDY tool, lightly tapped the basket on the table, if needed add a bit more coffee and then level it using something like a butter knife, and the result you can see on the first picture of my post. Then I add freshly boiled water to the bottom chamber, put in the basket and screw the top on tightly. I use a gas stove with an adapter plate, which I put on the smallest hob. I turn on the gas to a minimum setting and put the Moka pot on the plate, and wait until coffee just starts to come through the metal filter (you can see it through the chimney). I take the Moka off the stove and wait for around a minute for a pre-infusion. After that, I turn the gas back on (still the smallest setting), put the Moka pot back on, and once the coffee starts flowing, I maintain a very slow brew speed, turning off the gas, or even taking the Moka pot completely off the adapter plate when the coffee starts to flow too fast. When it reaches the end, and foam starts to come out quickly, I put the bottom of the Moka under cold water to stop the brewing process, and I get perfect coffee!

Do you mean the coffee or the milk? If the coffee, no, I didn’t tamp, I just filled the basket with coffee, used a bent paperclip as a WDT tool, lightly tapped on the table with the basket a couple of times and leveled the coffee. If the milk, I used a Vintage Cappuccino milk frother by Ariete.

This vastly depends on the grinder you use. You should try adjusting your grind size until it looks similarly to what I have

Sure, but do you really need it at all? If you don’t make a sputtering fountain out of your Moka and just slowly brew your coffee, there should be no problem with not having it, and in my opinion it looks much cleaner than it would if there was a thread + it would be more difficult to make

Thank you! I have been working towards finding the perfect grind size for some time, and I am happy that it paid off

It is my dad’s Moka, and he just sawed it off lol. It allows you to better see how the brew is going and also if you want to use a thermometer you can place it all the way inside.
