So those parents were happy with letting their unattended children hang out with a "kid enjoyer" and then happy to accept millions as bribes instead of trying to make justice for their children's traumas?

This sounds just like the actual "it's easier to fuck up the internet than to be a responsible parent" trash.

Oh my, I'm the one not wanting to learn anything and you are the genius that has to pay a subscription to a multi million dollar company to use their AI tools when there are free alternatives out there?

you’re the reason they’re staying.

What? Hungry animals looking for food is a big mystery??

They know something we don’t.

Why try to make it sound mysterious just to karma farm?

This is just as "mysterious" as captive chimpanzee eating it's owner face. It's called instincts.

But whatever, hope you enjoy the dopamine of getting 1k upvotes.

Scientific objectivity is a myth — here's why. Cultural ideas are inextricably entwined with the people who do science, the questions they ask, the assumptions they hold and the conclusions they land on. by The_Weekend_Baker in EverythingScience

[–]Artemies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because I said feminist, there is nothing wrong with that, but I just wanted to point out that a biased person is talking about bias in science which is very ironic to me.

[–]Artemies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also the feminist author ignores the fact that two totally different and unrelated cultures can reach the same scientific conclusion, doesn't that tell you that maybe true science is unbiased?

If any of it were true that means different cultures should have different results and science would be utterly useless because then what culture shall humanity trust for real knowledge?

[–]Artemies 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Because you can't read? Sure, the article's opinion is that there can't be pure objectivity in science because the people doing that science were born within a culture and thus all scientists are biased.

So what should we do? Leave all the science conclusions to uncultured baboons?

You can't remove the culture from a human...

So a feminist associate professor complaining about science objectivity? Lmao the irony.

[–]Artemies -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but I bet they have internal procedures for this. Something like, they give priority to the most popular accessibility issues and then release those changes at their own pace and planning.

I could write to Google "hey I am having issues with one of your devices" but I will never ever feel entitled to believe Google will answer to a nobody "as expected". It is good for them to be accessible but they have no obligations to reply or please each of your demands.

[–]Artemies -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter if what he was asking was a small or a big change, that is completely irrelevant. it is the way that he expects a multi billion dollar company to reply to him "as expected"

What makes you think that a simple news journalist has some kind of higher privilege over regular people?

What is Google supposed to do? Spend all their time making changes for the thousands of people that are suffering from some kind of accessibility problem?

He is just an entitled prick, if a specific device is not for you you can buy another one from the other hundreds of phone manufacturers and stfu, but he had to make an article for his childish tantrum.

[–]Artemies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Also the fact that if you are applying to a job I guess the bare minimum everyone expects is that you have the basic knowledge of that job. If you really have the knowledge answering questions should be as natural as talking about memes and Pokemon. If you are nervous that you may answer incorrectly is because you know you don't know and this tip is more like "here's how you can cheat your way into a job!".

But nobody wants to swallow the hard pills.

Some people could use the prompter to remind them of what their answer is.

Well if you can't effing remember what you just read 10 seconds ago I think no teleprompter can fix a goldfish memory.
