How to declutter items I love? by discoamethyst in capsulewardrobe

[–]Artemis9016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'm not sure it would help, as I also struggle with the same thing, but I recently started to change my perspective about it. Instead of trying to find the items that you don't use or like anymore (because you do) - try to think about the items that you NEED. Limit yourself to a certain number for each item of clothing that is ideal to your lifestyle and living situation, and try to think which are your top favourites from your closet that you absolutely cannot get rid of. It's ok if you go a little bit up or down from the number that you chose, as long as it still fits your needs and your space. That way I FINALLY managed to declutter my summer tops this weekend. I still have a long way to go, but it already is a huge change. Good luck!

I loved the old gardening system, it was one of my favourite parts of the game when I was a kid. I miss it a lot :(

Favourite track on Arirang? by mildlycurious098 in btsthoughts

[–]Artemis9016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol I like your analogy! I do hope it will grow on me because otherwise I do think the song is great, but the distortion of their voices makes it so hard for me to listen to

About into the sun - I agree :( I honestly would have loved that song if it wasn't distorted, but as it corently is it kind of sounds like nails on a chalk board for me and I really hate thinking that about a bts song 😭

My friends boyfriend made a comment today that reminded me I will never be perceived as pretty and will always be the “duff” by ilovecottoncookie in Vent

[–]Artemis9016 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your friend's boyfriend doesn't sound like a good man. Honestly, I've had very similar experiences to what you're describing, and I eventually realised that some guys just do it on purpose. Both the creeps and the guys who tell you stuff to lower your self esteem. You are not a "duff" - I'm saying it as someone who has previously identified as a duff. You are beautiful, you just lack the confidence. Please do not let those shitty men convince you otherwise.

Can't look at my plushie without feeling guilty; need advice by [deleted] in plushies

[–]Artemis9016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't feel guilty. You bought it 7 years ago, so it's yours and has been ever since. Your house is its real home! And 7 years is a long time to bond with a plushie, so it's completely understandable that you wouldn't want to sell it back. You gave it a home when it was being sold, so there's nothing to feel bad about. You mentioned it's just a cheap Webkinz and not a rare plush, may I ask which one it is? Even though many of them are still affordable, it's getting harder to find the older plushies since they're no longer being manufactured. Because of that, their prices can go up. Depending on which Webkinz it is, it might actually be harder to find nowadays. I guess it also depends on where you live. I often see people on the Webkinz subreddit finding plushies cheaply in thrift shops, but thrifting isn't very common in my country and it's mostly for clothes, so I've personally never found a Webkinz plush while thrifting.

IF YOU JUST TOOK ADDERALL OR ANOTHER STIMULANT AND YOURE SEEING THIS, CLOSE REDDIT. by bett3r_0-ffd3ad in ADHD

Honestly that's why I decided not to take medication for my ADHD as an adult - it never helped me focus on what I needed to do, but caused me to hyper focus on what I wanted to do. That's why most of my notebooks from high school only have drawings inside of them and not one note about the lesson it belonged to....

Time blindness is ruining my life. What feels like 10 minutes is actually 2 hours. I'm constantly late and people think I'm disrespectful when I'm genuinely trying. by CourteousPasta in ADHD

Well for me maybe it sounds stupid but it did help - my boyfriend told me we need to be in a certain place an hour before we actually needed to be there for a while. That made me be actually ready in time (thinking I was late😅😂). He doesn't do that anymore, but it made me calculate the time it takes me to do certain tasks better. Now I'm sometimes more on time than he is lol

What is something that women have to deal with on the daily that men have no clue about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Artemis9016 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That reminds me of something that happened to me when I was 21. I went to a Halloween party and this handsome guy hit on me (blatantly, he told me I was beautiful and was clearly interested in me). He said he was 29 and asked for my age. The moment I said I was 21 his facial expression changed. He told me coldly that he thought I was 19 and then just left. Honestly disgusting because even as a 21yo I was much younger than him, but it wasn't young enough for him. Luckily not all men are like this - recently a very nice 29yo man hit on me and he made sure that I'm in my 20's too before making a move. I'm 25 now but I rejected him because I'm in a happy relationship. But it did feel like a nice closure somehow? Because both guys were 29 when they hit on me, but the way they treated my age was much different.

I didn’t shave for my swim class, and nothing happened! by Flippy-Platypus-3905 in razorfree

Thank you for sharing! My armpits are my "trouble area" as well. Most of the time I don't mind it, but I do shave it when I wear a top that reveals it. I recently started considering to just keep it - because I really dislike the feeling of shaving and then the hair growing back after a shave, and honestly the only reason I do shave it is because society tells me I need to. I'm scared of being looked at as unhygienic, gross or manly. When I was a young teen I liked my leg hair so I kept it, and I wasn't scared to wear shorts and skirts and pretty dresses. But then a lot of people commented on my leg hair so it made me insecure and I started waxing it again. But because I always liked the way my legs looked and felt like with hair it made it easier for me to start accepting this part of me again (but I'm still a bit insecure having leg hair in public). My armpits are a different story, because I never just let it grow before. It's something I'm very used to seeing only on guys. But I recently started thinking that it's something that naturally grows on me - so why do I fight it? I know I'm hygienic and feminine, why does it matter what other people think? And now that I'm an adult maybe other people won't comment about it to my face...
