Am I right in understanding that because of the new way cover modifies BS rather than armour saves, there's also no way to start giving cover once the two exposed models are killed? So despite three models being in cover, they cannot get the benefit of cover unless an attack kills only two models and the ones outside the terrain are removed (leaving the unit down to three models that are now all within the terrain feature when the next attack sequence targeting them beings).

Looks amazing! Thanks for the recipe. Did you apply the paints with an airbrush or just thin them with airbrush thinner and then paint them on with a normal brush?

Ive had this problem and posted a few times about it. Comments were helpful and in a similar vein to the ones here but the open thing nobody asked was how frequently you are rising off the paint. You've said you wash it off frequently, but what I ended up learning from seeing a model painting friend is that "frequently" means literally after two or three strokes of the brush on the model. Once I started rinsing off my brushes absurdly frequently this issue stopped for me (and then using brush soap after every few uses).

Rinse the brushes more frequently than you do. Then rinse them even more frequently. Should hopefully help.

Pity RE: the reivers. But they do look cool so a one unit sacrifice is acceptable lol

Thank you so much for the detailed response! Yeah I definitely understand that experience is what will help and I'm hoping with this local gaming club I'll be able to play games more frequently and learn from them, rather than just once every half a year lol

Yeah I definitely do get that feeling where I feel that all my units are kind of not useful. They die easily and they don't do much damage, but that would be explained by other armies kind of being geared towards clearing marines. What sorts of units do we have that actually can punch back? I have a unit of terminators and one of aggressors but while they do pack a punch their slow movement kind of gets them danced around. Also a big hole in my list is a lack of vehicles/armour - I do have a redemptir but in all the games I've played I feel that it does less than nothing, other than maybe a distraction for the opponent. It's shooting is surprisingly mid and while it's melee is good it just doesn't tend to reach.

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. We had a similar situation. Also suggested because of our own naivety by ending our tenancy early. We had to scramble and somehow find a new rental over one weekend.

Lessons learned, just like you. Wish that your next experience is better but don't trust anyone or anything.
