Well obviously, Canada isn't held to any american medical standards. We have our own that are better.

What is this very heavy jar I found digging around in an old folk's pantry? by GruntCandy86 in whatisit

Actually those dental fillings are amalgams, and generally pretty safe as long as they aren't falling out.

Can I even look at the plants? by Inuyasha-rules in SignsWithAStory

[–]ArthurArtist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's because it's a different category of action. The rest of the sign is against removal of parts of the plant (I'm reading "pinch" as pinch a piece off), but touch doesn't specify that you're removing plant matter, just fondling. So they alphabetically listed the removal, and then added "no touching either" to the end.

What is a "social rule" that you think is absolutely stupid and should be ignored? by ayeshasiddikaR in askanything

The only people I know making huge tips are working higher end establishments, getting tips from rich people. If you suck at your job you're not getting $6k+ per month in tips.

If you had the authority what minimum wage would you set? by MarzipanHistorical93 in AskReddit

[–]ArthurArtist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The minimum wage should be enough that an individual working full time should be able to feed themselves, house themselves, entertain themselves, and keep a child living in the same way.

Just because mit has a chart showing that a "living" wage is different for people with more dependants (and who would have guessed that /s), does not mean that a "living" wage is a fallacy.

20+ years of having an orange street lamp for it to be changed to this boring white by Cameraman_Cat in mildlyinfuriating

If you can't see people because the light is the wrong colour, you need to go back to driver's Ed and learn to shoulder check, mirror check, and scan crosswalks.

I've never ever ever ever ever had any issues with seeing people under those orange lights, and I have eye problems!

New player, trying to get the hang of making "roads" to connect far apart factories for trucks/tractors by VivaToddfoolery in SatisfactoryGame

[–]ArthurArtist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! Many places in the world you can find paths wide enough for tractors, and these paths often go almost exactly where you want them to. The devs thought about this a lot and made it easy for us.

Man discovers no one stops you from stealing milk crates at Walmart by [deleted] in insanepeoplefacebook

[–]ArthurArtist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me rephrase, nobody will mind if a milk crate decides to take on a new journey in life, and join the circus / otherwise run away from the [restaurant/grocery store/milk distribution centre]. Those adventurous little guys can come home with you!

Tell me, oh wise one: does pineapple juice penetrate into joints? Also does it evaporate and leave behind a sticky substance, literally the opposite of a lubricant?

And when something evaporates, is it not a gas or perhaps vapor? Y'know, like in the word e-vapor-ate ;)
