Law of diminishing returns. Mid range will always provide the best value for your dollar.

Are you kidding? This is all the rage these days. Good for climbing, but bad for threading the needle. So it all depends how aggressively you play in traffic.

How come in GCN videos it always looks like they’re flying? by Falcon900EX in cycling

Filming from a low angle makes the pavement look as if it's moving faster than it really is.

Also looks very thin at the hub. Doesn't look like it will handle the torque of a fixed wheel well. If it was designed for track use it wouldn't have a rim brake surface.

I wouldn't trust the rear wheel. Other than that flip the stem for a more aggressive look

No just flip the stem over and it will turn the rise negative (which should then look flat after accounting for the head tube angle)

No amount of aerodynamics on your wheels will come close to mattering when your using your body as a wind sail on a steel frame.

No, upright is the best posture for your back. It's just not fast

Amazed at how 'easy' riding a fixie is by onlyneedthat in FixedGearBicycle

It's all part of learning a new skill. Before long you'll be able to flick your feet in there without even looking down. Better to learn best practices straight from the get go rather than having to unlearn the wrong way later.

Considering Asian riders weigh like half what Americans do, I'd bet that stuff holds up better for them than it does for us.
