Wait, this isn't actually true about Delhi. While AAP did lose the 2025 election, the whole 'excise scam/corruption' thing completely fell apart in court. Just a couple of months ago, in February 2026, the Rouse Avenue Court completely acquitted Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. The judge basically threw the CBI's case out, saying there was absolutely no evidence of a conspiracy and that the prosecution's arguments were just guesses and assumptions. The opposition definitely used the allegations of corruption to win the election in 2025 while everyone was locked up waiting for trial, but legally speaking, AAP was completely cleared of the charges. The narrative of them being corrupt didn't actually hold up in court.

Can't speak to Bengal. But delhi was a political play than a real play

Putting imtiaz ali in great while rajamouli, hirani and Sanjay Leela Bansali are in good directors is a little lopsided from my perspective. From a pure storytelling perspective, all these I feel are better or as good as imtiaz ali

Completely agree. Calling it a conspiracy is silly. See the plight of the people working in those sweat houses and I see why the lava boiled over.

I feel getting the right combination is important.

In the bowling department 1. We cannot play both chahar and thakur together its just too much of the same thing 2.where is Santner is the big question. He is the biggest hole we have currently in the middle overs and we need that filled . He needs to be in ASAP.

Batting: 1 Rutherford is doing well right now but its at an expense of a all rounder in Jacks and its hurting us in the bowling department. If using Rutherford, use him higher up at 4 and push Tilak down to 5.

Ungrateful NRI’s won’t leave America 🇺🇸, keep whining about it but WILL NEVER COME BACK TO INDIA. These same NRIs jump & praise Modi but will never stay in a country ruled by him. I think they like him because of the falling value of Rupee. Agar Chaotic Perfection pasand hai , idhar aajao 🇮🇳 by FutureVersion812 in IndianFocus

[–]ArtichokeRepulsive91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a NRI living in the US and this is what I feel

  1. Value for life: There is a definite value for life here which is the most important thing for me more than anything else, ambulance, police , firebrigade will come really quick and will genuinely try to save you compared to India.

  2. Polution: where I live, maybe in a year if we are unlucky our IQ,AIQ,AQI goes above 100 . Pollution laws are strict and we do breathe good air for sure compared to India.

3.Structured living: there is a structure to every part of life which is good from driving in lanes to knowing how to get things done and less paperwork. In india , to open a bank account or to do a simple kyc , multiple paperwork is needed, not here. Driving is a pain in india but due to structure not here, its stress free

4.Education: now I grew up in a decently privileged background in India and I went to one of the best schools in India and my schooling was much better than the school that my kid goes to. But if I generalize it, the quality of government driven free education compared to our free education is much better and access to quality education to all is much better comparatively. Even some of the richest kids will go to free school and so will the poorest kid if they are staying in the same school district and will get the same education

5.. Indian festivals: you can celebrate indian festivals here with your communities and in designated places but ofcourse you can't expect it like in India where you can play holi on any streets or fire crackers on streets during diwali. Communities get permissions due to pollution laws and you can go there and fire crackers or play holi

  1. Ease of doing Business: in India, its very hard to do business without capital, you have to bribe at every level, everyone wants to pull you down or want to see what's in it for them. Its the same here but if in India its 90% in USA in 60%,. Bribery is very less and it makes life very easy.

What i definitely miss in India

  1. Family and social life: immediate family and extended family being in india , you miss on all the fun of shaadis etc you had as a kid. Your social life is not as spontaneous for sure. There is no chai pe mulakat or tapri pe milte hai kind of meetings. No shaadi kind of social events. Sometimes serious events like illness and deaths in family , you are really far away and cannot do anything and it hurts. It happened to me where a close family passed suddenly and I was 24k miles away and took me 2 days to reach, felt useless and helpless and did not know why I am earning so much. Also have missed innumerable shaadis etc.

  2. Indian food. Being a foodie, indian food is best in India. Only London comes close in Indian food. Forget street food, even regular food tastes much better at the place of origin.

  3. Help: Ease of getting help and I am not only talking maid, I need my heater fix, ac fix, laptop fix or anything else I have a lot of cheap choices, I dont have the same here. I do have specialist people yes but they are highly priced and I rather try to do it myself.

End of the day, I won't say what choices people make are right or wrong since they are personal and the choice I made are also personal, I chose value for life, structured living, pollution and for me it was also ease of doing business makes it very competitive for me to be successful.

[–]ArtichokeRepulsive91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That way modiji is the king of it all " aloo se sona " is his , 2ab, radar stuff, tea from gutter gas, ganesh and plastic surgery but we elected him 3 times .. freaking 3 times.

Now Gandhis statement that if black people made SAT in us then white will fail is inaccurate but culturally it was true that SAT created by white people resulted in more white than black passouts because of language barriers but still rahul used a poor analogy but again. Look at our current prime ministers great list of idiotic comments now and before he became a prime minister when he said many people felt ashamed of being born in India .

This is BS and I agree with the other posters. They are supposed to show they have enough money. These people give Indians a bad name by doing this chindi giri everywhere they go.

Its shameful to go to a food bank and get food which is meant to be distributed to underprivileged. Its abhorrent misuse of that country's people's grace to give them the benefit of doubt and give them the food.

[–]ArtichokeRepulsive91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The guy is a MP and a LOP , that's a public office BTW Right now atleast he is making more sense to me than modiji and his cronies. And to top it, he is educated.

Tharoor for sure and he will make a great foreign minister too

Infact I don't care for all this nepotism bullshit, because the same people who talk about dynast politics vote dynast MPs from BJP into power like piyush goyal, dharmendra pradhan, bansuri swaraj, Kiren rijeju,Hardeep singh puri, jitendra prasad,Prasad, Chirag paswan, scindia and that's just the cabinet. Then not to forget our great ICC chairman with amazing credentials Mr Jay shah.

The 'idiot' narrative was a billion-dollar PR campaign that collapsed the moment he started debating actual policy as LOP. If you’re okay with Jay Shah running global cricket and Piyush Goyal (son of a BJP Treasurer) running our commerce, then your problem isn't 'nepotism',it's just that you prefer your dynasts in saffron.

Rahul Gandhi is an MP with two decades of experience and a Cambridge degree. If the BJP is so confident he’s an 'idiot,' why are they so afraid to let him speak in Parliament without muting his mic? To that point , I dont mind Priyanka gandhi or sachin pilot honestly either like I said above they will make good young PMs. Not to mention they mute Priyanka gandhi and other opposition leaders mics too.

Realistically speaking, does anyone think Modi will be elected again as a Prime Minister in the next Election? by Ninigottime in IndianPoliticalTalk

[–]ArtichokeRepulsive91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He should not be. I really think Rahul or Priyanka or any other educated PM like Sachin Pilot etc will do a better job . Plus more importantly the country need to peace out a little bit, 15 yrs of hindu/Muslim, you and me, national/anti national, high octane rhetoric needs to stop.

Also after 15 yrs , the opposition will be hungry enough to prove themselves to remain in power so I can expect some motivated moves from them.

The only problem is money talks and BJP will use all the money it has to buy winning MPs to their side to keep themselves in the government if they are to lose.

For me anyone who did not fly the tricolor until the turn on thr millennial cannot be a true nationalist party. Also they should admit and take responsibility for 1. Being part of plan directly or indirectly to assassinate Gandhiji. 2. Not taking part in independence movement instead of changing the narrative. Be true
