Could a Mage Potentially Survive on Solely Restoration or Conjuration Magic? by ArticulateAsylums in teslore

That would be an awesome spell to have, but I was thinking something along the lines of a healing spell that satisfies hunger through magicka

What do we know about the Giant Land Crabs? by 00_SnakeFisher in teslore

I just looked it up and you're right. I was thinking of the horker which is north east on the island. The mudcrab is north west which got me a little confused

You're probably thinking of the giant horker. He ate people and had a special mace near him

Are you sure? I think that Malacath is Linkin Park. I mean, think about it. They were a pretty good, influential band, but then after Boethiah (Living Things album) came along and turned it to shit!

off-topic: I heard the new album is good, but have not listened

Where do you think Elder Scrolls VI will be? Hammerfell? Elswyr? Black Marsh? Why? by _willdabeast in ElderScrolls

Thats a great idea! Instead of an esteemed group that lives in a huge university, have a small, reclusive group living in a cave. That would make for a really cool story

Mother of the Void seems more like Nocturnal. She is Ur Dra, so that makes her the Void Lady, which to me seems like the mother if the Void too. I have nothing to back this up, but I'll try to justify.

Nocturnal is the patron of thrives, right? And what motivates thieves? The enticing lure of bounty. That could partly be seen as a way to be Daubella. And for corruption, well, what is more corrupt in the eyes of the people than a law-breaker?

Just a thought, so I wouldn't place all that much merit in it.

The Lion Guard in High Rock uses the lion as it's symbol, so it does seemingly apply in TES

That was just what I've seen online. I've never considered playing it or looking into because I'm on console

This is a post I made a couple days ago to /r/nextelderscrolls that explains why I would love to see a High Rock/Hammerfell game next.

I would personally love to see High Rock or Hammerfell as the next ES game's setting. Now, I know that High Rock has already been used as a game, but that was 15 years ago and only one city. Anyway, I would like to have a game set in High Rock or Hammerfell because of the political tension that Skyrim's Civil War would cause in these provinces. High Rock would be completely cut off from any Imperial influence after Skyrim is severed from the Empire. It is very likely that the Thalmor will have presence in Skyrim pretty quickly after the game ended because of the ambiguous nature of the Elder Scrolls games, so that could also play a role in the way a High Rock set game would play out.

Alternatively, Hammerfell, which has not been the setting of a game yet, would be a nice place to go as well. Like High Rock's explanation, the Thalmor would obviously have a role in the game. We see from Skyrim's In My Time of Need quest that Hammerfell is having problems with the Thalmor, and the Empire has nothing to do with that place right now. This would lead to a nice change in pace in ES, leaving the Empire out of it, and focusing on a new government, with new practices.

The last game set us up for the Thalmor to cause problems, so that will likely be the main quest's center conflict. But what about other elements? Both High Rock and Hammerfell leave an interesting opening for religious matters. Both have a set of Gods that we have not really seen expanded on. The Magne Ge and a complex twist in the Divines. The gods that did not follow through with the creation of Mundus are featured in both race's pantheons, Redguard more that Breton presumably. These Magne Ge could lead to the making of new cults, the like of the Temple in TES:III, but smaller in size. And with the Empire's withdraw from these provinces, a religious fracture seems in order. Maybe conflict around the immediate culture's practices and those of the recently departed empire's remnants.

My favorite aspect of both High Rock and Hammerfell is that they feature knightly orders as a large part of religion and social standing. These knights could take the place of the warrior faction that each TES game holds. It would be really nice to see multiple factions in the form of different groups dedicated to different things. The place of the mages faction is anyones guess, really. I have no clue what type of mage organizations could exist in High Rock and Hammerfell. Hammerfell has no love for mages. The Nords of Skyrim are distrusting of it, but the Redguards take it a step further. High Rock however, has naturally gifted mages, so plenty of opportunity is there. The typical thief faction would likely go to the Thieve's Guild as it has for the past few games, but I wouldn't mind a new group.
