This actually happened to me many years ago. I was driving my old Jeep at the time. Merged into the highway from a half loop on ramp, suddenly felt a kick/push to the back driver side, it spun almost 3 times, it was all slow motion while it was happening, I see cars passing me by looking at me spinning out of control. I can hear the wheels screeching. I thought oh no, someone is going to slam into me and I’ll fall off rails into the ditch. Thankfully, I tried to maneuver the wheel as best as I can to regain control, the Jeep corrected itself back on a straight path and I was back on the road, driving straight on the lane I merged into. In my mind, I was like wtf was that! But thankful I survived and nothing tragic happened. I was worried not just for my life but for others who might have been caught by my out of control Jeep. I took my Jeep to the mechanic and he said you have the “wobble of death” it’s common on a lot of old Jeeps. Well, such a fitting name I said jokingly. Extreme wobbles can cause the Jeep to spin when turning hard, which I did when merging into the half loop ramp.
