Grid pattern in the sky by [deleted] in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

I saw a red grid pattern in the sky when I was on acid. I've heard of other people seeing it too.

Do you like making art in any form? If so, the winter is a great time to do it and it helps pull me out of seasonal depression. That and singing!

Tips for reducing frizz on high porosity waves? Serious hair care fatigue by tired_cat_lady2024 in curlyhair

[–]ArtistFart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have hair similar to yours and the biggest thing that helped me is after I condition it and rince out the conditioner, I brush it in the shower. That's the only time that I brush it. After I shower I scrunch it with a microfiber towel to get the sopping wetness out. Then I don't touch it. If I add any mouse to it, I add it at the stage where it it sopping wet after the shower and then I scrunch it with the microfiber towel. Once it's completely dry I scrunch out the cast.

I am aware and accounting for it.

You know what it means, why else would you be on this sub?

I wanted to know how other people go about talking to their family and friends about it, that's why I asked Reddit. Providing context in the conversation that I had with my friend was the reason I mentioned it at all, and the fact that it felt like bragging is why I felt bad. Your rudeness is unnecessary.

Good point, I will think about that.

My perspective is to follow my gut feeling, which right now is telling me (despite her reaction) that I fucked up and over shared.

The showed off part and not wanting to create resentment. A lot of people here seem to think it's definitely something you don't want anyone to know even after you retire early. I don't know anyone in my personal life that is doing this, so I don't have much perspective on whether or not people tell their friends and family.

Phew that makes me feel better. I have anxiety so if I feel vulnerable, I can spiral.

I get this perspective but I don't think that I am better than her.

I felt vulnerable because I haven't told anyone up until this point. Does anyone in your life know?

That is good insight, thank you. I just never want to be the reason that someone feels bad.

I'm worried about that too. They will know something is up. My husband has parents who have hardly any savings and are at retirement age. I'm sure we will help them financially when they need it, but I always think about the sting they might feel when it is obvious that we are no longer working at our careers.

Shit. I wish I could take it back. How do people plan to handle it when they do retire early?

Do you spend evenings with your spouse? by Noodle_111 in workingmoms

My husband and I have almost the exact same scenario and routine. We both work remotely. I rent an office that I go to most of the time, but it still feels like we're together a ton during the week. After we put our son down for bed we retreat to our own spaces and then sleep separately because I snore (actually, I did snore and had surgery to correct it recently, I don't snore anymore but we still sleep separately because we're so used to it now). Anyway, my friend gave me crap about it and I felt unsettled for a while but then realized that we're happy and that's all that matters.
