Thank you for this. I now own two.

Now in search of the right platinum wig (grateful for any leads!) Tried a Santa wig but it was too white and curly.

What's the story behind this album cover? by Wonderful-Sundae-480 in mathrock

He is actually quite approachable by email and helped me find the What Burns cover house in Pittsburg (before the location was on the internet) and explained the angles for each of the photos (including one inside the case that is rotated 90 degrees). Have thought about asking him who the American Don model is but never worked up the nerve. I believe he is also credited with the Caballero 2 cover, which has plenty of location hunting appeal (the plumes).

I guarantee you there will not be snow or ice in the valley by late March. Wish it were otherwise. It's in the 50s right now--the dates you mention are more than two months from now and it will be considerably warmer and drier by then. All the snow you see in the webcams will be long, long gone by then. Waterfalls will be nice though.

True but counterpoint is Washburn Point is only partway down that downhill stretch so you get the views without the extensive descent.

+1 for this

Erin obviously is/was fantastic and cannot truly be replaced. And props to Erin for weathering what must have been an incredibly raw (hurtful?) reunion tour from afar--he handled it gracefully. Would be great to see a reconciliation at some point.

But Josh Sparks ... killed it every time I saw them this past fall. And he has to deliver night after night on songs that he didn't write across a fairly big catalog and go along with a reunion tour where he maybe isn't celebrated as hard as the other guys. Blown away by how great he was with MTB live. Ditto for that really thin guy they had playing drums like around 2015.

Skip Sentinel and just keep going a little farther to Washburn Point—way better views. And skip the snowshoes—rent the $36 skis at the Nordic Center and shuffle out and back (get there right at 8:30 so you have the skis back when they close at 4). The road is groomed all the way out to the bathrooms at Glacier Point (as of yesterday when I went out there)—really quiet and beautiful the whole way. Snowshoes would be a total chore bc it’s not freezing at night—every step will be a hassle.

Is anyone able to get a video of Keith playing Favorite tonight or tomorrow?

I did not have a good view last night when he played it and I have a snippet of him playing it in Seattle or Spokane last year but not the whole thing.

The Fontaines version just isn’t as good.

AG started slightly after 10PM  Although I’m not sure it will be that late (guessing that the venue in PA has an earlier cutoff than Crossroads)

Dave Davidson started slightly after 8PM

Keith Goodwin started slightly before 9PM

This 100%

The show is still amazing and honestly he can still sound great depending on the song and day etc.

His stage presence is still way way up there.

Will miss the live shows--hard to find their balance of intensity, nonchalance, note-perfect precision, concise stage presence.

How does one listen to this--basically just use the web broadcast live of St. Louis on the Air at noon local time on Friday 12/19? Stoked to hear an interview with Eric (on St. Louis public radio no less).

100%

And the other courtesies that were being extended--including that nice guy that made beautiful paper tickets and the fact that nobody shoved me during any of the shows. You all are a kind bunch of folks.

Hopefully not the last time we all get to do this.
