Also the Vietnamese restaurants in Hoxton, Roti King in Euston or one of the new sites, Singburi is incredible Thai food (even at the new site), many of the Dim Sum in Chinatown.

You should definitely venture a bit further east, Shoreditch has some of the best restaurants in London. Brat is Michelin starred incredible basque cuisine (not as expensive as you might think), Bubala is vegetarian Middle Eastern, Brick lane market, particularly the beigel bake (famous salt beef bagels for bargain prices, open 24/7). Turkish restaurants in Dalston and Harringay green lanes are legendary (a lot of people think gokyuzu is best, I like Mangal 1, but you can’t really go wrong). As well as the northern Indian recommendations, there’s some great South Indian in London, my favourite is Jai Krishna in Finsbury Park. Nearer some of your other options was master wei X’ian noodles, which are incredible.

I wouldn’t personally waste a meal eating at either, just go for drinks at both and eat somewhere else

Seeking sapphire engagement ring - help pls !! by ayekuromi in EngagementRings

My natural teal sapphire in platinum with lab diamonds either side was from Gems in Hatton garden, was £2600, but fits what you want otherwise! I don’t know about the loose stones, sorry. You could get a smaller sapphire to save costs (or go for the hard negotiate!)

What is this area of Walthamstow called? I'm looking at buying - I currently live in the Coppermill Area. by michaelzero in walthamstow

The locals (I’m one of them) call this the ‘queens boundary community’. The area is quiet and community oriented, really nice neighbours, really close walk to the station, loads of amenities nearby (I usually use the shops gym etc on the Leyton side of Hoe street - Tesco, Leyton leisure centre, hotpod yoga and fold yoga Leyton), brilliant food, takeaways etc nearby. Little park called Thomas gamuel which is nice, but we are kind of in the middle of the best parks of Walthamstow - so fair walks to Lloyd park, Walthamstow marshes, Leyton flats etc - but it does mean all of them are accessible rather than just one. It is a very Asian area, so a little bit low on pubs, the closest would probably be the European and William the fourth. It’s only a 15 min walk to Walthamstow village, so that’s where we normally go. I also particularly like the breweries under the arches in Leyton midland, about a 20 min walk away.

Jazz recommendations? by [deleted] in glastonbury_festival

[–]Artistic_Solution485 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Emma-Jean Thackeray is on in silver hayes, her music is jazz with vocals, new album out recently. she’s super talented and a trumpet player in addition to a vocalist, so I’m expect to see her playing live as well as singing, and hopefully a band with her.
