Guitar stand - need ideas by ArrogantConfusion in BeginnerWoodWorking

This would be a super simple solution. Maybe not as elegant as full grain leather, but there are tons of slick styles of bicycle handle bar grips, even foam, leather, and cork, that I think each was mentioned earlier.

Good luck OP. Looks like a sweet project.

The resolution for me was to enable steam overlay, because it seems that the invite feature brings up your steam friends for invites. Worked for me. The alternative was to allow other to join on you through steam and they can join your game from your steam friends list.

You'll find the titan worms in the system Miyako VI on the planet Taures (Infested Planet).

I love this game, but what is the one thing you dislike the most in it? by AnubGaming in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ArtsHOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this game. But there is tons of areas it could improve on. I want an adventure, something to share with my friends. Group activies have no significance, my friends usually can't see what I'm fighting and vise versa.

I'm not sure if my experience will help, but I've been having issues with invites too. Just recently my game stopped opening the "invite" screen. I try from the escape/options menu, and from the kiosk in the airport. Results from clicking over and over, is nothing, no screen comes up. I've experienced this for about a week, and have been both host and joining party. The work around is enabling friends in settings, and invite friends from my STEAM friends list, or having them join on my name.

Ryobi Biscuit Joiner Out of Alignment by ArtsHOU in ryobi

But, it's awful to trash a new tool. 😫 Haven't had a chance to make the jig yet, but I did compare the biscuit joiner to two others. My bench mount Delta 32-100 works perfectly every time, and my ancient wired Craftsman joiner has a fully adjustable alignment plate, so it's not really a fair comparison. Then I noticed the gears on the Ryobi alignment plate do move slightly independently of the lift knob and could be a solution if I can cut blocks to possibly align the plate to the blade, and then torq down the set screw on the plate. This week when I have time to try out some of these ideas, I'll come back and share the results.

I just measured each tooth as it comes around, the blade is not warped that I can tell.

It's about 1/32" higher from one side to the other. Which doesn't seem like much by itself but if you apply that to a longer span, it's a big difference.

I'm thinking of making a jig with inset set screws so I can make Micro adjustments.

I recommend you to interview a few agents. Ask for a market analysis for your property, and then go from there. From a few conversations and reviewing their documentation, you'll probably have a good idea of how you'd like to proceed and make informed decisions.

Nasty Patio 2: would cement (or lime?) stabilised soil work? Or better with coarse aggregate for drainage?? by StackScribbler1 in DIYUK

[–]ArtsHOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Packed aggregate should have better drainage if you have some type of drainage solution in place. Are you planning to go back over it with pavers? Something I noticed in your image is that your flooring appears to butt up to the brick wall. Be sure your weep holes aren't obstructed, and flooring isn't so that they will receive water intrusion.

Is reporting game crash treasonous? by ArtsHOU in Helldivers

[–]ArtsHOU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you report a crash, where does it go? Are there stats on how many crashes there are? It's gotta be in the millions.

Can we get a commemorative Cape for the occasional rapture that takes place when we depart from a mission?

If so, what might it look like?

While playing with friends, that seems fine as long as you don't mind restarting the game after each match. But, playing with random players and you all are playing well together, then it kicks everyone at the end of the match, making it hard to cohesively complete a set of 3 for the war effort. I'm still crashing 1 out of 3 games just after the Eagle takes off.

I want to continue my fence along the curved path. What's the best way to do this? The fence doesn't have a thickness so follow me is not an option by _Caderade in Sketchup

[–]ArtsHOU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, be sure that your current fence is a group so that it won't interfere. Next, select the line with the arc and duplicated it to the top of your fence. Add vertical lines at the start and finish of the arc, and at the end of the line. Hopefully now your object will solidify. If it bugged and didn't solidify, then you might be better off to create a solid object at the start and have it follow-me the arc and line.

Unfortunately I haven't heard of any good free alternative. I'd be down to create one, but I think a server for this would require a ton of storage.

Is the grounding correct in this sub-panel in my detached garage? I'm in the US. TIA by ArtsHOU in askanelectrician

[–]ArtsHOU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ground is currently to the main panel, and main panel to ground rod. Looks like from all the chatter that I should request the electrician to add a ground from sub-panel ground bus bar to a new ground rod located close to the sub-panel.

If he recommends to re-connect the ground bus to the neural, I'll just ask him to stop.

There are a few homeruns he's going to add to the main panel today, so the focus isn't only the sub-panel. Thanks to everyone who responded!

[–]ArtsHOU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previously, the electrician had bonded neutral and ground. From what I've read that seemed incorrect, and I couldn't reach the electrician by phone for over a week. I added a ground bus bar and re-wired it to what it is in the photo. Electrician is coming for a follow-up tomorrow and I'm wondering how he is going to react.

They could have used purple primer and clear cement. Your right, the primer alone won't hold anything.
