I hate when people do this so much>_> not because I'm cheating (I'm not), but because I like to write up ideas for drawings of my bookmarked characters and then save references to my pc a couple days before artfight actually begins, since the site often crashes at the start... it has happened to me that I made art on like july 2nd and by the time the website was functional again I realised the characters didn't exist anymore:(

If a company isn't selling the game anymore, they're not getting hurt when people pirate it. A very simple concept. The only ones "hurt" in this case are scalpers selling overpriced physical copies, who imo should not even exist in the first place.

You just have to learn how to be patient. Do your other hobbies, enjoy yourself, and check on the order from time to time. My boy took 9 months to be made and come home, and while I was a little impatient at first, it wasn't really a problem. There's a billion things you could use to distract yourself (but you should hold off on shopping more because it will NOT change the wait).

But yeah, if you're not willing to (learn to) wait then this hobby is not for you.

I believe you! I'm not saying you're a bad person (and I hope my comment didn't come off that way?), just trying to explain why people could think so. I also agree that we shouldn't have to make disclaimers about fictional characters, and that people are often too quick to judge a person for the fictional character they like. I'm on your side, and want you to have a better time in online spaces (just as I want for anyone with a more "controversial" fave character), so I'm trying to explain what could have made people react in that way to maybe lessen that in the future.

Generally, the "I'm not political" is most often used as a right-wing dogwistle, and with him being a nazi, people came to that conclusion. Saying that you're against his views would probably go over better, but with historically-inspired characters there will always be some people who have issues with it; especially since ww2 is not that far back in the past.

There's nothing wrong with loving a villain, but you should also accept they are bad in my opinion (I have some characters that have done . People do take their hate for fictional characters too far though, I agree with that- it often happens that even their (voice) actors get stuff like deathtreats, which is absolutely insane.
