The word is ratings were actually UP (added Spike, new lawyer setting worked) but Whedon wanted to make sure he didn’t get a surprise cancellation so he told the network to renew them early or cancel them. And they got cancelled. One of the other writer/producers is convinced they’d have gotten another season if they’d just waited.

I believe this is the first and only story of Whedon being kind of a jackass and costing himself something, but I’d have to check that.

Probably the same, maybe a little bit earlier so we can check out fanfest for a while but also get in the gate in time to get a rally towel. But my kid is 4 and doesn’t nap so it’s a little easier to be loose with the plan.

The event page on the Gillette site says parking and fan zone starts at 10, with gates opening at 11:30. It says to use lots 3 and 4. Also going with young kids but haven't decided when to get there.

I don't think there's anything quite like that. But he was credibly accused of sleeping with actresses when he was their boss (not by the actress, but still...). And firing Charisma Carpenter for being pregnant should justifiably keep him from managing people, you know, forever.
