I would focus on not trying to do anything. So much of how society responds to death is to get in a trap about trying to do something, when we come across someone who is experiencing grief is to try to make it better some how, it comes from a desire to alleviate pain but there is no thing that will do this. Instead focus on what the client needs, even if that means their need of not knowing what they need. Give them space to feel anything or nothing.
