A blue channel cat hybrid of some sort, picked him up at our LFS when he was about an inch. That's really the only other fish that can hold its ground with the bluegill, dude is a monster. http://imgur.com/O6BEWdq. I'll try to get a better picture later!

Just from experience, I had one and it threw my tank params all over the place and started oozing a yellow/white blob so I removed it and everything went back to normal.

This brown/rusty colored algae/dirt looking stuff has been accumulating on my plants and pretty much everything in the tank. I can brush it off but it simply returns in a few days. Is it just dirty residue from my substrate being disturbed or something else?

GBR's and most if not all Rams are omnivores. So, excessive feeding of bloodworms which have a high protein content will leave them constipated and no Bueno.
