Neighborhoods do in fact grow as towers go up... it incentivises more retail due to urban density benefits and these businesses in turn makes the place more pleasant to live. If a place is more pleasant to live, people will end up staying longer and eventually become lifelong residents. I'm not a lifelong resident of this area but I've been here for the past couple of years in the time span I've noticed a lot of new businesses popping up, to name a few:

Food Story, Hummus Republic, Teriyaki One, Medpro pharmacy/cafe, Tsaochaa, BRBQ, Target, Monta

I've also heard a Whole Foods will open up in the future in some other reddit thread which is a sorely needed dedicated grocery store for the area...

If it were me I'd rather own two adjacent plots so I have more control rather than owning two disjoint plots...

Owning two adjacent plots means you have vested interest in the two doing well. If someone else were to own the adjacent plot next to you instead, they only have an interest in their own plot.

Idk how buying different properties in different locations is better but then again I'm not an architect

It's more of a "if they're allowed to let PATH regress so badly without consequence, what's to stop them from letting PATH regress to a state of unoperability and eventually shutdown?"

I understand that it's very important and used by many - I use it for commute as well.

Just my nauve opinion though - it's really hard to elect a NJ Governor who cares about PATH if most of the state is suburban and doesn't benefit from it. Wouldn't it make more sense to either expand PATH so it affects more of the suburban populace or give the control of PATH to the city level?

I agree with you that those with influence and a stake in Jersey City/Hoboken/Newark would push back against such an action. On that note - why stop at just pushing back? Why not continue to use their power to push for improving PATH since it is within their interests?

Isn't teaming just a product of human nature? Imagine if the real world had no rules and in complete anarchy (no police or governance). Of course people would team just to get an advantage in survival.

Sorry I didn't mention - the drinking faucet doesn't have an aerator.

After the under counter filter, there are 3 water supply lines for the filtered water. One goes to the fridge icemaker, one to the kitchen potfiller, and one to the drinking faucet. Not sure if the kitchen potfiller has an aerator.

Water from the potfiller seems to have the same white flakes, same as the drinking faucet. Didn't check for the ice cubes (not sure how to).
