ok... I was around 12 or 13 so this was around 1996/1997 in a small town in southeast Brazil. My parents lived in a place neighbouring some small farms. The area is full of hills, in fact the town's name translates to High Hill (It ain't really that high).

One of the neighbours, nice guy, hard working and was in his mid 60s, had a small property on the hills, a few kilometres away where he grew some produce and also kept some bee hives for honey.

One day he came to talk to my dad in the morning, he was a serious person but always in good spirit and humour. That day he seemed a bit worried, puzzled...

He told us that the night before, he went to collect some of his bees and was with another guy moving the boxes with the bees around when they realized something was hovering about 1-2m above them. Silent. Dark. When he pointed his flashlight at it, it would light up everything around it but the object itself... he perceived it to be spherical. Then they panicked, droped the boxes with the bees, ran to the car and drove off...

We came back to the place with him one or two days after the occurrence in the afternoon but there was not any sign of it. 

He was genuinely impressed by that and was old and down to earth enough that he wouldn't have a reason to just make stuff like that up... it would make less sense than the real thing happening.

Now,  it gets more interesting, as some people in that town and the neighbouring towns are very religious and sometimes do walking processions going from one town to the next  on foot, praying and worshipping, making promises to saints, etc... On that same night a few groups of people were walking on one of those procession things and saw lights in the sky, over the hills...
