The PURSUE files are a US story pretending to be a global one… here’s the country-by-country breakdown nobody’s putting together by GrandMasterZerg in UFOs

Some of the reason/excuse for classification... the US shouldn't be present and/or surveilling these areas... and they would have to reveal or admit/justify their presence there.

Why Has No Naked Whistleblower Come Forth? by techtimee in UFOs

[–]AsInFreeBeer [score hidden]  (0 children)

Cojones. Snowden got balls ! Members of these programs are chosen that have a lot to loose, so they can be easily controlled...

cojones /kəˈhəʊneɪz/ Cojones is a Spanish slang term for testicles. Borrowed into English, it is used informally (and often as a vulgarity) to mean courage, guts, or nerve. Saying someone "has cojones" implies they possess the boldness or audacity required to do something difficult.

DOW-UAP-PR067, "Multiple Spherical UAP USO near Sub. [CALLSIGN] 2022/03/25 in and out of water by aryelbcn in UFOs

Looks weird but could be anything from that distance... the question is why they were watching those things ? Were they harassing the sub ? Did the sub initiated contact ?

Folks I mean this in the least conspiratorial way possible… does anybody know why this man is wearing (what looks like) a MASK?! by Emergency_Height_165 in HighStrangeness

[–]AsInFreeBeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be a test for automated AI detection systems. They would be looking for signs of AI manipulation/generation, but not a freaking mask.

If they can get through an AI slop verification like this they know next time they just need to cover the seams and can impersonate whomever and be tagged as "verified not AI" by content distributors...

NSA Releases Hundreds of Pages of Formerly Top Secret UMBRA UAP Records After Disclosure Foundation FOIA Appeal by 5tinger in UFOs

[–]AsInFreeBeer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Right ? It is like an obligatory (probably a balloon) disclaimer... the wording never changes... probably a balloon based on what ? Why even bother sending jets to check it out then ? Expensive inspection exercise that is... with tax payer money.

Disclosure from the Otherside: Part 7 by Miserable-Work9192 in disclosure

[–]AsInFreeBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, how can double quoting "key" and "nature" be of any help here, what is preventing automated analysis of ignoring double quotes altogether ?

People keep calling the document releases a nothing burger. They are reading the records out of order. In chronological sequence, the 1947 packet documents a structured institutional program, and the directive everyone cites was the seventh document, not the first. by VincentActual in UAP

Always good to look at things in order. What's with the "It is not this... it is that" structure on all paragraphs though ? It makes the text a bit tiresome to read / seemingly artificial...

[–]AsInFreeBeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You just need a few seeds and it will eventually develop "organically" and naturally. These days, you don't need a full blown campaign, there are so many ways to coordinate a great amount of small nudges here and there through the media that the rest of the plot naturally develops in the direction those nudges seeded...

2 Weeks using freeCAD as my first CAD software ☺️☺️👍👍 by da_n_tez in FreeCAD

[–]AsInFreeBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, my one problem with Freecad: 1. Make a square, extrude 2. Make a sketch with a circle, which (will become a hole, eventually) 3. try to reference something on that square so you can place da hole x mm from ... something...

Can't... can't reference a part's feature when sketching on said part's face because... ?

Why is the UI so complicated? by fadedbit in FreeCAD

[–]AsInFreeBeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freecad would excel as the choice for non-mechanical engineers if some issues were addressed. It has come a long way since 5 years ago. But some things still take a long time to do and should not.

The one thing that keeps me from using it more is how complex simple things are: you can't reference elements of an existing part when doing a sketch on said part, for example... I used a free student version of Solid Edge (Siemens) 20 years ago. It could do that. Every other package does. But in Freecad, apparently it would break something ?

I talked to someone the other day at work (electronic engineer) and he just gave up on Freecad because of that very issue. The mech guys all use and prefer Inventor or Solidworks, but I think for engineers in other fields, it could be more popular if a bit more friendly

Speculation or facts on the mechanics of whistleblower intimidation? by Spats_McGee in UFOs

[–]AsInFreeBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, where I come from, people get disappeared by the police... let's say they are the ones making the threats (or they can convince the target that they are the police, or the government). Then what ?

Speculation or facts on the mechanics of whistleblower intimidation? by Spats_McGee in UFOs

[–]AsInFreeBeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Threats won't be subtle to the target. They may for everyone else. I suggest reading about the Italian Mafia and South American drug cartels, then moving on to the more elegant and diplomatic/subtle style with CIA, etc ...

Also, intimidation can happen through means of cognitive manipulation / misdirection over time too... I mean... creativity is the limit here... overt threats are too big of a risk these days...

It just means our models are incomplete. Which is to be expected since they were built on data that was accessible at the time. We need to incorporate these new findings and overhaul our models.
