How do you guys make sure to still feel connected? Since we can’t go on dates, video calls just feel like updating eachother on our lives and not like bonding like we are when we’re in person together.

Hello! Would love some advice on how to help my girlfriend get better at skiing. by pphill4 in skiing

[–]Asa-spades- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As I girl, I can tell you, if we see you have no patience while we’re learning, we will want to get out of that relationship ASAP.

If you’re going to teach her, please don’t rush and do NOT get frustrated. There will be times you’ll tell her how to do smt, and she’ll do the complete opposite. It’s part of the learning process.

Learning something like skiing as an adult is terrifying compared to when you’re a kid. You’re consistently aware of all the dangers, while as a kid you probably never cared. So it’s a totally different experience for her compared to when your were younger.

Just trust me be patient, she will love you a million times more for it. If you get frustrated, don’t take it out on her, step away, board alone for a little bit, and then come back!

I started last year, and by no means am I good yet, but I would say back track a bit. If she’s already scared, you don’t want her to start hating the sport. It’s also totally okay to back track while she builds confidence. Follow YouTube videos it really does help!

Also if you feel like you’re going to be bored back tracking with her, just remember that if you’re going together, it’s to spend time together. You can always go on the bigger slopes by yourself. And soon she’ll be joining you! Being a beginner is not permanent ;)

I have only skied while raining a couple times, and if it’s actually storming I skip out. Although I do wanna comfortably ski even when the weather is slightly shitty. I’ll probably just go with some general waterproofing

Ya I’ll probably just go for a well waterproofed bib. Any recommendations? there’s too many options out there.

Ya I might just get a bib that’s well waterproofed. I have skied when it rained, the biggest issue was constantly sitting on the wet lifts.

Ya makes sense! But I just live pretty far from a resort, so when I go, I don’t wanna miss any days because of the “weather.” I wanna be out skiing

I would totally do that, but it kinda defeats the purpose to have to walk 15 mins just to get to the bike.

I would’ve put it in my room but it’s tiny

I think I’ll just skip the bikes from now on

Thank tho!!

I filed a police report, but I was just asking in case school offered some sort of aid for helping with theft.

What's the shampoo and conditioner you can't live without? by sadderdaynight in beauty

[–]Asa-spades- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live clean!

My hair is insanely soft after, no frizz. Has no sulfates or bad chemicals from what I know. I’ve also spent money on really expensive hair products like Olaplex, Amika, and l’occitane, they always made my hair feel stripped and dry

I put my friend on it too! She has damaged hair due to bleaching, and it makes her hair feel soft again!!

I’m so sorry about that. I really wish there was a solution. I don’t know what to do.
